He really does care about his students and wants them to pass. The last 3/4 weeks of class he decided to stop assigning hw and wanted us to focus on the final project. few quizzes that are open notes and hw if any was worked on in class. Wish we learned a bit more though, some chapters dragged on than others.

One of the worst professors I've had. We were not given a clear syllabus nor was his grading criteria accurate. He told us to write a paragraph summary, but told the TA not to give an A unless it was 2 pages long. His quizzes test your math skills not your Python skills. Do not take him if you want a structured class where you will learn something.

He's great however he does nothing about teaching and education. The lectures are not prepared and there was about 1 hr of 2.5 used for talking about lives. he's really an expert in his area but his course should be avoided. He assumes you can do and learn by yourself. If you do not have enough experiences in programming, let's see the grades

Ok so George is a nice guy. However he is an awful lecturer and super unclear with grading. I am taking him for a graduate level course and he essentially talks about nothing for 2 1/2 hours. I don't know what he does for his in person classes but I doubt it is better.

George is a great guy. But his class is hard and project dependent. I literally did all the work for all my projects (and my group members got a good grade even though they did nothing). A little too intense- he has high expectations. Lectures are him going off on tangents. I don't like how he structured the class/grading. But he is a cool guy.

BEST PROFESSOR AT LOYOLA! he is the sweetest and funniest, there is a quiz every Friday, and the homework is easy, no exams. He is knowledgeable but does sometimes go on rants about random things not related to school at all. He is super nice and will give you an A or the grade you deserve if you fight for it.

George was one of the most inspirational professors I have ever had. He has an interesting sense of humor and is very relaxing during lecture, but just enough to keep you still engaged. On tests, our TA Griffin gave excellent feedback for the exams that were handed back. Participation is necessary and is really easy to do.

George was a nice guy, but the class was so much more challenging than it should have been for everyone. He switched things up on us a few too many times, and by the end of the semester almost the entire class was lost. I would still probably recommend him because he's a super nice guy but this class was pretty much a disaster and everyone knew it.

Wonderful professor. Full of energy and his presence alone creates a vibrant classroom that you'll be happy to be in. His classroom is run on a more practical concept rather than academic, which is preferred with something like computer science.

Great guy, has some funny stories and is very passionate about his field. However, he knows so much already that he assumes learn things on your own or already knew it. His TA was much more helpful than he was. Tests were messy (he changed his system) but do the labs and homework and you'll almost for sure get an A.

His personality and philosophy is great, but he is lacking. He had a lot of conferences this semester and missed a lot of class, but that alone should not be the reason for not teaching. Most of us were lost during class and for our assignments. Great guy, but assumes you pickup on stuff that he didn't even lecture on. Try someone else

Would not recommend if you have no prior experience programming. Professor was extremely kind and very knowledgeable. However, the class was very unclear. He spent time talking about random things and never got around to teaching. 2-3 Tests that were okay. 4 Homeworks that were unclear and tough, multiple lab assignments.
