Funny teacher, but most answers for exam are in the 2 thick books that are required, must read 30+ pages a night. You have to remember dates, events, names, if you confuse them like me, you wouldn't do well. He retired end of Spring 2015. Loved his class, just didn't do well on his 4 tests, no final.

Science and World Cultures was a fantastic class which I found very interesting. Dr. Webb really lectured more from the point that we were there for information, not a degree for a job, and it really showed. He was interesting and intellectual. The classes only has 4 total tests as the only grade but if you pay attention they aren't hard. 1010

This class was the only class I didn't pass with a B. I went to all the classes, took all the notes, and still hardly squeaked by with a D. Don't take his class unless you want to be reading for a few hours every night

Dr. Webb is a classic college professor. He will stand up and talk (mostly without visual aids) for about an hour, usually less, and then he dismisses class. There are only four 25-question multiple choice tests all year, with about 2025 questions coming from the lectures and about 525 coming from the readings.

Professor Webb is one of the few at TTU that is actually passionate about his subject. This man is a history buff to a T. His lectures are very interesting and informative, he throws in little quips all the time which are hilarious. he tests hard but If you come to class and take good notes an A or B are very possible. Favorite professor thus far.

Absolutely horrible teacher. Uses power points that are completely useless to the tests. Requires you to read about 30 pages a night, which you are questioned on very minor details that you probably didn't catch. Only 4 grades for the entire course, and has nothing to do with intended course title. It is essentially a course over Astronomy, waste.

A very nice man, and a great teacher. However, he is a very hard grader and does grade for grammer. His test are difficult as well. Not a hard C but it difficult to get above that. You will have to study alot for this progessor. On a scale of 1-5 stars. I would give him 4 stars. I would take him again.

History isn't my favorite subject, but Dr.Webb always kept my interest. He is one of the best lecturers I have ever had! The tests are pretty difficult, but if you study really hard, an A is do-able.

I'm not really interested in history, much less the history of science, but Dr. Webb made this class really funny and interesting. He is an amazing lecturer and is always willing to help if you have a problem. It does require a lot of reading, however, so if you aren't willing to put in some effort, then don't take this class.

He is very hard when it comes to tests. I have read the chapters, studied the notes, never missed a class and cannot seem to make anything better than a D. I made an A in a hard histroy 2010, so if history is not your thing do not take it!!

Probably one of the, if not the, best lecturers at Tech. For those who say you hate history, even you will change your mind at this guy. His tests are hard and require a good amount of study, but it's worth it

He is a good teacher but his tests are tricky. You will end up reading the whole book! The stuff he teaches you is NOT all that is on the test. He puts sample exams on reserve in the library and study guides that will help you greatly. Often there are about 4?s that come from the study guide. If you like to read take him if not its HARD

I LOVED Dr. Webb.He is my favorite teacher at Tech thus far.His lectures are long and you need to take notes but he actually finds a way to make history interesting and easy to follow because he tells it like a story.I absolutely hated history until this class and now I love it.Took really good notes and made Bs on most tests but ended up with an A

I thought the American West was an intriguing class, especially the discussion over frontier versus region. I think it depends on one's interests as to whether or not they enjoy this class. I'm into any sort of American history, thus I enjoyed it immensely. Study your notes & write well--an A is very attainable.

Webb can be a great professor depending on the class he's teaching. This Westward Expansion class wasn't one of his best. He spent so much time talking about the impact of events that it seemed like he missed talking about the events themselves. He's a nice guy and for the most part a good teacher, but avoid 4250
