Not an easy class but chemistry is not an easy subject for many. Kids come into this freshmen level class thinking they can just sit here and absorb the information. She states clearly at the beginning you will have to work in her class but that if you put in the work you can get an A. If you are lazy, you'll fail.

Arbuckle is easily the worst professor I've ever endured. Her lectures do nothing to connect concepts to practical application, she relies almost exclusively on an optional online supplement to do the actual teaching, and her attitude is so condescending that she is nearly unapproachable. Exams are almost purposefully more difficult than necessary.

I hate this class. It's too much work to keep up with. She tells everyone to drop it. Not cool.

Hard class, but she's a good teacher. Stay on top of the material from the VERY beginning or you'll be lost! Go to office hours, and do wiley questions and read the textbook BEFORE lectures.

She is amazing and her teaching helps you get an A. If you come to class and pay attention you will do fine! Her online-HW were definitely helpful & was interested in teachin you the material, not just coming into class to be there. I had Dr. Burke & She is like a diamon compared to him. If you need to take Chem Prin, she is the one to take it with

First off, you were incorrect. You are limited to 350 characters, not 350 words. 2ndly, have you looked in the mirror yourself lately. 3rdly speak up, don't hide behind that keyboard.

She is still giving juvenile puzzles and ridiculous time wasters. Does she not realize that this detracts from our learning? This class is just one more obstacle to overcome, not the epitomy of our lives! She is a nice lady who has absolutely no idea how to relate to people.

Never avaible for help even during listed office hours, expects her class to be top priority when really, its not. We are students, we are not going to 'be with you' all the time in our understandig and when we dont understand we should be able to ask our questions during the avaible class time, not be told 'i dont know what to tell you.."

Dr. Arbuckle has made it very simple this semester. Learn it yourself or fail!!!!!! She is basically a teacher that does not teach. She just walks around saying "Are you with me?" Like NO ONE is with you!!!! I can not believe I had to pay for this class. Don't worry, if you are not one of her favorites, you will fail like the rest of us.

I would think that Dr. Arbuckle would encourage the students to want to learn more about Chemistry. Because of this class, I am glad that I am never taking a Chemistry class again!! She was one of the most disorganized profs I have ever had. If you like her, you must be just like her.

As a part - time graduate student, I found the class to be arduous (as expected). However, I found the homework assignments very helpful in assisting me in my studies. Overall, I would consider this semester an enjoyable experience.

I guess, the only nice comment here, must have been put here by arbuckle herself. She is extremely Anal, Annoying and unavailable. SHe plays favorites and says**** behind your back. She doesnt explain anything, doesnt clarify calculations and then expects you to figure it out. There is no point in coming to school as you have to learn it urself.

I had no idea how awful this class was going to be when I signed up for it. I had heard that Dr. Arbuckle was a good professor. However I would consider her 'teaching' apathetic at best. She is unconcerned whether we learn or not, and she is never available for questions. We are expected to teach ourselves the material without guidance from her.

How can you even call this a graduate level class with so much kindergarten mentality involved? The prof tries hard, but to no avail. She should go back to basic Chem principles, she would be better there.

Took Principles with her last year and ran into problems when trying to reach her for clarification.I spent long intervals of time waiting for her infront of her room at periods when she was listed for office hours. This was very discouraging and made me wonder why she even puts office hours at all.If you like to teach yourself, this class is for u!

While the professor has been somewhat helpful with the material, she is extremely unavailable. It often confuses us that we need to understand upper level chemistry while at the same time completing word searches for a secret message. Is this a graduate level chemistry course or third grade! So glad I am almost done with this utter nonsense!!
