Great professor! Easy exams, as he just pulls examples from class. Attendance is not mandatory, but necessary for a good grade on the exams. Very helpful if you have a question. Very forgiving if you need to delay the semester project some. Doesn't use a book :)

Awesome teacher! Between giving you the EXACT test to study and grading super easy, you have to try harder to fail this class than to pass. Quirky little old man who knows his German. Very willing to work with you. He let me take a test home with me to do after I missed that day. No book but be prepared to print off lots of stuff. AWESOME!

He gives you the EXACT vocab words that will be on the test and tells you exactly what grammar will be covered. The story you read in class is what you translate on the exam. I am amazed when people don't do well in this class! Dr. Cohen is just an awesome guy...looks a bit like Woody Allen too.

He's a wonderful guy! After you have him for 4 semesters his jokes and some of his manerisms get kind of old but he's still a great teacher. I just wish we could mix it up a little bit instead of always just reading and translating. Perhaps a movie day?
