He was very helpful, with lots of illustrations and interactive learning. Even when I would sleep in his class, he didn't care. Grading was done through a best "2 of 3" style. No grades for attendence. Really enjoyed class.

Dead ringer for the Inconceivable! guy, just MUCH more BORING. Nice man, seems to like what he does but is very stiff. Doesn't apply concepts to real world and takes 30 min to make one point. Study notes for tests and quizzes. Only read the book if you miss class

One of the worst teachers I have had yet. Completely boring, lectures sound memorized, and tests are horrible. He words things really awkward on tests and you end up second-guessing yourself. Find someone else, he is really that bad.

Wow, I hate this class. He's not a bad guy, he's just extra boring. Very nice and friendly, but can't say much about his teaching.. Good thing I had my neighbor keeping me awake, or I'd be getting an extra hour of sleep everyday. And he's definitely like the Princess Bride dude.

He is definitely a boring teacher.The class was harder for me because I am not interested in economics at all. BUT, if you go to class and take good notes you don't have to read the book. He is always willing to help and give feedback. I didn't study until the night before the tests and I got a B.

Geile is one of those professors that can lecture for 50 minutes and manage to not say anything useful. Would not recommend. I would say he looks more like Wallace Shawn from Princess Bride than George from Seinfeld.

Great teacher, but boring at times. Great at explaining concepts well. You don't really need to read if you come to class. For the tests, be sure to study the optional homework he has on blackboard...and the sample questions. Very helpful and always willing to answer questions.

I would recommend him for Eco. He is boring, but as long as you read the chapters you will do good on the tests. You have quizzes like once a week. He drops the two lowest quizzes and replaces the lowest test score with the final.

Everyone says that Dr. Geile is really boring, and I won't disagree, but economics is really hard to make exciting, so what do you expect? I find that he is very informative if you stay awake and pay attention, and covers stuff very thouroughly.
