So full of himself. He had some early success in development and has been milking it for years. However, he has no recent experience in development and is very out of touch. He also lacks methodological rigor. A flake really

I'm about to graduate after summer is over and all I have to say is that Murray is by far my favorite teacher at UF. Attendence is mandatory but his lectures can be intresting and he is a very funny guy. I had him twice in my four years at UF and I got an A both times in his class. I loved his online tests, and overall an AWESOME professor!

Anth. of Judaism- Best class ever. Idk what others are saying, I loved him. He is so knowledgeable and interesting. Lectures do lack structure, but its nothing that will hinder you from getting an A, just pay attention. Exams moderately difficult, but reading guides and notes help a lot- they are on E-learning, anyways. I'd recommend him to anyone.

he talks too much and the lectures have no structure. this time he put all his exams online & people got the same questions in the same order. so we all buddied up on them. makes u read a lot but i never did them. just make some friends, get their reading guides. by the way these help a lot for the exams. he gives extra credit out like sweet butter

Could be an easy class if you don't have any other serious classes. Lots of detailed readings that he provides study guides for but you must attend class and take really detailed notes. Tests are hard and recently switched to online but only gives on hour for 60+ questions. Gives little extra credit and slots are limited.

If you come to class and listen and do the reading you will pass just fine. He gives lots of study guides and he speaks very openly. However, if you don't want to attend or do work outside of class, I wouldn't recommend it. Very labor intensive, but he tells the best stories and is a great speaker. He'll keep your attention if you'll give it to him

Worst professor I've ever had. The only thing he ever talks about is Jews, but there are other religions out there. He doesn't even have lectures prepared for class, he just rambles on and on. He's rude to students and doesn't care to be even the least be considerate to them. I have never disliked a professor as much as I dislike him.

Absolutely amazing. I had him for ANT of religion and Judaism, and I'm taking my third class with him. You do have to attend class and DO THE STUDY GUIDES, but he usually doesn't test you on the reading if there's no study guide, which is often. But believe me, he really makes you want to go to class.

awesome! he knows his stuff and a lot about judaism and voo doo; both interesting. DO THE STUDY GUIDES! they're time consuming but itll make or break your grade. tests are open notes but extremely specific so you have to take good notes in class and make sure not to miss anything when you do the study guides. i'd take another class with him.

Go to class! The first exam scared me because I didn't get his style. You must take precise notes and do the readings. At the end of the semester he said not to do half the readings anyway and he let us curve a BUNCH. He's a very interesting man. He breaks out into different languages all class long.

Awesome class. Mostly focuses on Judaism, Christianity, and Islam, and Voudu (speciality) but knows alot about them. Very intersting. Only 4 multiple choice exams, one drop. Plenty of extra credit available. Must take good notes and attend but otherwise, not unbearable. Great for Diversity credit. Recommended.

He is a good professor and the class isnt too hard as long as you attend all the lectures and take precise notes. His exams are fair, but the last exam was kinda tricky. Its an interesting course that you'll learn to like.
