Comment:

Dr. East is a great teacher, but sometimes he had a hard time dumbing things down. He explains most things very clearly, but he just expects you to know some things, and sometimes he does too much work in his head. He's very helpful if you visit his office, and he'll help until you understand. It's a tough class, but you'll learn a lot!

Comment:

Professor East was great! I never considered myself to be a "math person" and thought I would not do well. He explained everything clearly, and I got an A! As an "atypical" older student with a job and family, I really appreciated the extra time he gave me when I had to miss class. He really seemed to care, and wanted to make sure I did well.

Dr. East is an excellent teacher. I'm terrible at math, but he made everything very clear and easy to understand. He cares about his students and is always very helpful. He gives quizzes every class, but they're not hard. All homework is online and you can rework until you have 100%. He also gives extra practice problems, but they're not graded.

He covered everything you need to know, online homework thats easy and you can re do until you make a 100%. if you show up to class he works with you. quizzes every (friday?) that require 5 miinutes of studying. tests get review!!! i suck at math and made an A.

As continued from before--I meant to say fall 2010. That's three semesters from this one. If you don't like the Oklahoma Sooners and you let him know, he'll probably give you some jazz for it. Irrelevant, yes, but I enjoyed what I could of the class. Not as anal a test grader as many would like to think.

This will probably sound strange...but I missed a significant amount of time during calculus one because of a nagging respiratory illness and its stamina-related effects. He understands, and he is BRILLIANT. I even got to listen to his research interests during office hours--very good! Bottom line: TAKE HIM. I hope I will for mod alg in 2 sem.

Great college algebra teacher. Book work is optional. Online homework is mandatory, but is only about 20 problems a week. weekly quizzes on thursdays. If you go to class, and do the homework you should do really well on quizzes and tests. always helpful and available.

Dr. East is one of the greatest math teachers apart from Dr. Woods and Dr. Al-Jarrah. The class was hard (Differential Equations) but he made it crystal clear. I'll recommend anyone to take his classes.

Professor East is such a sweet and helpful man. He gives homework but he doesnt take it up, its to do on your own for practice. Before he begins his lecture, he gives opportunities to ask questions about homework assignments. He's patient and an all-around great teacher. The quizes are usually on average about 2 questions. Tests are like 8 q's
