Dr. G is a great professor. Probably the best professor I have had at Hofstra. He has a great enthusiasm for history and loves what he does. He tells funny and interesting stories and encourages the students to participate. If only all my professors could be like Dr. G!

First off,don't take notes lol..he has formats off All his lessons and out of all the exams,he gives you the questions that will be on the test,therefore you can plan out your essays beforehand.he is a nice guy and he tries his best to get the class engaged.A EASY class!!

I gotta admit, I fell asleep during some of those lectures. They were BORING as hell.... but the exams were essay format and he let you know the topics so you could plan it out beforehand. The writing assignments were okay.... Overall, if you have to take a required history course, he's alright for it.

Giannattasio is a really nice guy. he got to know me and i never went to office hours. his class can be the most boring thing in the world, but if you show up and take good notes you'll get a good grade. so far we've had two essays and an in-class essay exam, which wasnt open book. but still relatively easy.

Most boring class I've ever taken, but was fairly easy. Don't bother taking notes because there aren't exams, only essays. The midterm and final are open book in class essays, so its easy to do well. Just show up and participate when you can. I got As and A-s on all the essays and he was helpful during office hours. He's boring, corny,but very nice

He is probably the nicest professor I've had at Hofstra. The class really is unbelievably boring but it doesn't matter because you don't have to go. He doesn't take attendance and there is no need to be in class to do the papers. Its pretty easy. He pretty much gives a B+ on all papers no matter how little, or how hard you work. in a nutshell... corny jokes and boring lectures (well it is Am. Hist.) BUT!!! the three take home essays are a piece of cake and the mimdterm and final are open book which he gives you the questions for ahead of time (so write up it at home and stick it in your notebook to copy into the blue book during test time) Great way to boost your GPA!!

In the classes he spoke about NOTHING of INTEREST whatsoever!!!! litererally THEE most boring class i can ever imagine attending. He is one of the nicest peope on earth. His class is early and wicked boring. But his exam was open book and maybe a couple of papers. Very easy teach, but also a very boring teacher. Be sure to bring a gameboy to class so you don't pass out in class. His assignments are cake. He's a very understandable teacher and a really nice guy. He allows his exams to be open book, and tells you the questions before hand.
