I got a B on every assignment with minimal effort. I went to her a few times to clarify things and she is VERY helpful and kind outside of class. I feel like I didn't really improve my speaking, but my writing is much better in my personal opinion even though my grades didn't reflect that change. Basically, intimidating, but nice lady.

I really respect her avidity about participation, but I don't find her to be very clear, and would not choose to take her class again. Her grading is a tad erratic, particularly when it comes to writing assignments, and I felt the majority of what I learned needed to be clarified outside of class... and not by her.

Solid French teacher. Writing assignments are hard, but as long as you do the reading assignments and participate in class you'll do fine. She's somewhat intimidating, but very nice when you talk to her.

Prof Hadley is a solid professor, and cares about students' improvement. She is adamant about class participation. Take-home essays are challenging but if you take advantage of the re-writes you should be fine. Class gets a little routine but you'll definitely leave the class having improved! I recommend.

Satan would be afraid of her class. But she will improve your French even if you dread class every day. She is fanatical about participation and forces people to work out answers they don't know in front of the class. Take someone else if you can. Class is same boring routine each day. But she is good for rapid improvement. Bonne Chance!

Mme Hadley is a very good french prof! Her class is hard, yes, but because of the difficulty, getting that A on a quiz/the midterm really feels great. She hates when people don't talk and she makes notes about that, so be sure to say at least one comment (even if you're wrong in the end result) because she likes to know you're trying.

Ms. Hadley was a tough grader on the quizes and essays but honestly tried to help you get better. If you do you're work and make an honest effort in the class, you'll be fine. The class goes by quick and is definitely bearable.

This class is one of the most unbearable that I have ever had. It is the same every day and she will call on you and embarrass you in front of the entire class if you are confused. I always did my readings and my homework but when I tried to participate it would result in me being mocked. Very condescending and boring. Avoid this prof if possible!

She is very serious as people have commented before, but she's organized and simple. The class will be one million times better for you if you do the readings, which aren't long, because she will call on you if she thinks you aren't doing the work (like me). Tests are easy, compositions are simple...overall good, nothing special though.

I will say she has good intentions, but this class is unbearable. Readings are tedious. Class is the same routine every day. She is cold and impersonal, unenthusiastic about material. Non-voluntary participation. HOWEVER, easy as pie, easy to BS, easy tests , and a very easy grader. Get on her good side and you'll be coasting. I think she's insane.

Not the easiest grader but there's not a lot of work to the class and the quizzes are very straight forward. she always corrects grammar in class but its a tiny section on the quizzes, which focus on the readings. She's very comprehensive in going over everything. Not an easy A but better than a lot of french professors

I took two classes with her, simply because she is a GOOD professor.Very serious and organized. However she is somewhat fake and doesn't take participation seriously. I participated almost EVERYDAY, got Bs and B-s for most of the work and a B+ on the final and still ended up with a B- in the class. My french got alot better but she hurt my grades.

Organized, focused, and courteous, Prof. Hadley truly attempts to enlighten her students. Prof Hadley sharpens your understanding of the French language by continually correcting any errors espescially in class, but you should not feel insulted since she knows what she's talking about. She cares about her students. Tests focus on L'etranger.

She was really really helpful both in class and during her office hours. She really loves the french language. can be condescending when you get an answer wrong...she makes you feel pretty stupid. but overall, she was pretty nice and a very easy grader.

She's so mean. I would participate a lot and make really dumb mistakes and she would make me feel bad. Horrible Teacher. You can never get anything right on her quizzes on L'etranger. You could write a detailed page about it and you can never get an A. Dont take her class. I was looking forward to French 4, but she ruined it for me.
