As warned on day 1, there is a lot of reading and attendance is encouraged to get the most out of the class. As an adult, the onus is on you to do the reading and familiarize yourselves with the concpts. Class is to discuss material and experiences. Tests were tricky, but do your reading and you'll pass, essay easy. She gives excellent insight. Fab

Decent prof when it comes to articulating. Speaks a lot on personal experiences. Genuinely enthusiastic. She claims she wants her students to succeed but thats a claim laden with deep falsity. She's gone out of her way to make the tests unconventional and unnecessarily difficult. Expects students to memorize 100s of pages. Tests on minute details.

Geri is talented professor who displays passion and experience. There is a reason she has global clients. I did not skip any classes due to the immersive learning experience I had in her classes. I do agree with others, her marking is a bit difficult and the classes themselves are not easy. BUT. She informs you of this at the start of the semester.

Useless lectures. Speaking of her "Stress" course, literally reads from the textbook with highlighted points. Often rambles about her experience as a professional counsellor offering unproductive information about her clients. Felt as though I was treated as an elementary school kid: "Raise your hand if..."

Very good professor, extremely knowledgeable in her field of lecture, and supplemented with real-life examples. Tests are tough but fair, ample warnings are given so students know what to expect. Attending classes and doing readings beforehand is highly recommended. Content is directly drawn from the textbook so no additionally material required.

Professor Agrey is a great prof! She cares that her students do their personal best by clearly going over the course outline multiple times. She gives very fair tests (as long as you put in the work and read the material) and she is extremely passionate about what she teaches and hopes her students can put what they learn to real-life.

psy614, terrible prof. spends half the class time discussing life and how you should come to class, reads straight from the textbook, and no lecture slides while lecturing nor notes posted. Tests formats are very unconventional, there is no study material to study off of. Always gets off topic and promotes herself.

I loved how Geri encouraged class discussion during lectures. Her approach facilitated interaction between students - an active vs. passive experience. I found this to be refreshing compare to other undergraduate approaches. I believe that future aspiring clinicians will value her emphasis on the practical application of material covered.

I took 805 and 614 with her. 805 totally easy but 614 is extremely hard. 805 is all multiple choice so as long as you're familiar with the concepts, you're fine. The essay is super easy as well. On the other hand, the 614 midterms are extremely specific fill in the blanks. Essay is okay but still a lot more work than the 805 essay.

I really love Professor Agrey - she is the most approachable and caring professor I had at Ryerson. She is a fair marker, and her exams are very clear and from the textbook. Make sure to buy the text because it is mandatory and the entire class and exam is based on it. I did really well in the class, and learned a lot of interesting materials.

The new test format for CPSY614 makes this course incredibly hard. You can understand the concept 100% and still get an average mark because you forgot a certain statistic/word. Tests questions are incredibly specific and forces you to attend class since she drops hints. The only good thing about the course is that the material is somewhat interest

I thoroughly enjoyed this class and Geri made that happen. She has a wealth of knowledge with her personal experience in sport including working with the Canadian Olympic equestrian team. Make sure you do not get behind in reading. She likes class participation. I'm looking forward to taking another class of hers.

Wow. If you want to oe hour of life lessons, one hour of the textbook, and one hour of how communism would work in canada then this is for you. If i have to hear about how to indent one more time i will go crazy. The exams are stained yellow from age how about writing a new one! If your going to this class bring your brooms, because its a mess!

Comment:
Too much time spent on life lessons, how to indent, and explaining her "method of madness" in making you go to class. No need to go to class though she reads the book to you so its basically story time. Funnily is not a word but was used all the time. Passionate and friendly. Kept saying to send her thank you emails if we want. Kinda cocky but nice

if you want to go to a 3 hour lecture and hear 2 hours of life lessons, most of which is irrelevant to the course, and 1 hour of straight out the text lecturing this class is for you. The material is interesting, but straight out the text. Course is easy. The only thing that was repeated regarding the assignment was the vitality of indentations.

This is not an easy class, however, the material is very interesting. I was able to apply much of what was taught to my own experiences in sport. Geri was very passionate about the material and this showed each and every class. She cares about her students' well-being. Tests are fair if you attend class and do the readings. Recommend this class :)
