I took this course during the summer so it was accelerated making it a little harder. He assigned a paper due every class and it built upon what we were learning. It's fairly easy and takes about 2 hours of your time. In class participation is key b/c that material will be on the exams. Study your text do your homework and participate in class!

Comment:
Matos is the most useless professor ever. He make speak Spanish, but he does NOT know how to teach it let alone speak English in order to teach it. You can't ask questions because he doesn't understand them and there is an absurd amount of work expected from students. Expect homework for each class. Literally awful.

Lots of in-class review and learning. Need the book for sure. Helps you a lot, even lets you turn in late papers and hw for full credit. Sometimes hard to understand. Some movies. Papers are all one page and super easy topics (celebs, Peru, your family, college life, etc.) Good humor and personality, all around good prof for a subject i hate.

Great Guy. Tries very hard. Its hard to make your way through the peruvian accent sometimes, but he is a good teacher. His spanish classes require alot of independent study (especially the second half of the chapter). He tends to spend alot of time on the

Means well, but English is his second language so sometimes he seems to have trouble understanding what you mean or vise versa.
