Probably the best teacher i have had so far. Extremely patient when it comes to answering questions, will take the time to teach until you understand completely. I recommend if you want a patient techer that is happy to answer your questions

Dr. Gifford is definitely not the type of teacher you want to take math w/. He's reliable but he's not kind, nor patient. Math II requires a lot of work on your own, hw is a must in this class if you want to pass the class. Good luck! Exams, are okay if you know your math (know ur Alg?) Good luck!

Awesome teacher. I've sucked at math forever and I took his class, got an A! I didn't even have to take the comprehensive final! It was awesome. Super nice guy. Totally recommend him.

I took this class to get credit, so I already knew all the stuff. I told him this at the start of the course, and he let me read books in class quietly. It didn't look like his lectures were very helpful, but I did re-learn some things from them. Homework is not graded, & you get to make up one test. He is OK if you already know your stuff.

He can get a little boring but he's a cool guy. He will answer any question you have and demonstrate the problem in as many ways as he knows so you understand it. There are a lot of tests but they are very easy if you pay attention. He tests the understanding of concepts, not solving a long complicated problem.

Everyone is entitled to their opinion but Dr. Gifford is a really nice guy and he answers every question. If you do the optional homework every night and ask questions when you need to, you should really be fine. (This is my second rating cause everyone hates this guy.)

He wastes a lot of time in class with crap that has nothing to do with the class. Then he runs out of time on the important stuff. Expect an exam every other week - it is brutal. Lectures are worthless, only the very trivial examples. Never goes over any homework problems. You will depend on the book as he is no good.

Currently taking him,soooooooo nice. I got a F in the same class with another teacher. Dr. Gifford is so clear. Sometimes you make doze off, but its easy and intresting ( and i usually hate math)

...really sweet teacher. His lectures tend to get boring, but other than that if you are inquisitive and always asking questions esp when you don't understand something, he'll be more than glad to help you. If you don't like turning in homework, he's perfect. Just make sure you do good on tests-they are are everything!

I really enjoyed this guy. I could understand people having a hard time because math is hard, but I really liked this class. Homework isnt graded, but you should do it. Test arent hard, a few quizes here and there. And theres like 15 points of extra credit on every test.

Dr. Gifford's a pretty nice guy, but his lectures are a little boring and I actually fell asleep in his class on a number of occasions. Math isn't the most exciting, but as long as you do the work and pretend to try hard you should be okay.
