His lectures are often dull, but they're very well-organized and always relevant to the material covered on the exams. He provides his students with study guides that are crystal-clear and extremely helpful. He's a fair-minded grader, not too easy and not too tough. Overall, he's WAY above average, one of the best instructors I've ever had.

Sit back and soak it all in if you have a good memory. His delivery is amazing and precise, with every possible caveat to what he is explaining tagged along the way. Lectures were well organized for describing the messy business of history; also I was amazed at the volume of information he could pack into an hour ro so. In summary: top-notch.

This class was hell! I had to bite the inside of my hand to stay awake but it didn't work. Monotone wouldn't even begin to describe his voice, would get soo sleepy i'd go crosseyed... soo bad

Hes horrible!!! He's boring and has a voice that puts you to sleep instantly. I only recommend him if you have HUGE love for History, like taking ridiculous notes, and writing insanely absurd papers..I dropped this class!!

His class is a cure for Insomnia. I am a history major and have enjoyed history since I was a kid, and if his class is boring to me, I feel sorry for the students taking it as a Gen. Ed. course. He is a hard grader and rambles on and on. DO NOT TAKE HIM!

I dont know what the below students are talking about--monotone voice? College isnt 'American Idol'(probably kids who need to feel overstimulated). Jimenez knows his subject well and gives you great analytical insight. I really recommend his class!

People complain about a "monotone voice", but I find him very expressive. He obviously likes what he's teaching about. He's a great teacher of history ... unless you hate history, then no instructor is "good".

HORRIBLE!!! OMFG this was the dryest and most painful class i took. he has absolutely NO sense of humor and doesn't care either. hard grader too, DO NOT take, i repeat DO NOT take this old windbag, although he does know the subject.
