I took her course (L2 Fluency) as a grad student. Gillian Lord is by far the #1 of the Department of Spanish at UF. She is brilliant and also kind.

This class was probably the worst I have taken at UF! A bunch of grad students were added during drop/add week which made the class size ridiculously large. (It was more like a freshmen general ed class.) The professor also had a very difficult time managing the large class. She was disorganized, and made frequent last minute syllabus changes.

Dr. Lord enjoyed the subject, but she had a very hard time communicating her ideas to the class. She also did not make herself very available. We also did not use a textbook which made the class even more difficult to follow. I would not recommend this teacher, although she is passionate, she is also absent.

Dr. Lord is a great professor. She is very knowledgeable and makes the class interesting and fun! It is definitely easy to get an A in this class too, if you work at it! I would highly recommend non-native speakers to take Dr. Lord

Her lecture was only summarizing the textbook, she's boring, lazy and really not serious, she don't know anything, we don't learn anything, and she is a real little kapo. If she likes you = easy A. But if not ... well, you're ****ed.
