Yep, shes a tough one. If you take her class you must be prepared to work hard and learn. If you aren't interested in the subject, don't take the class. She is very helpful! If you find the tests too hard, talk with her! She will work with you. Yes its hard, but this is DU-start expecting it, it only gets harder

Dr.Dow is the most approachable professor I've ever had. Intro students might not give her the best reviews because of her intelligence and knowledge about what she teaches and they might not understand her because of their lack of interest. I absolutely loved her and enjoyed her class.

I absolutely LOVED her! It was the only class I dodn't mind going to every day. She keeps it interesting, and she's so funny. If you have questions, she's more that willing to spend whatever time needed during class explaining. you just have to ASK!

Really nice person, very interesting lectures and fun to talk to. Assigns tremendous amounts of reading and writing, though grades it easily. Tests are grueling and mostly form the textbook(s), though with some random lecture info.

Nice person but bad teacher. Tests are impossible and she isnt clear on many issues because she doesnt like to use text book. I took a 100 level course and struggled to get a C!!!!
