The most unhelpful man I've ever met. Completely inflexible and short-sighted. Always goes by the book. Slow to respond or doesn't respond at all. It took me, no kidding, 3 months of going to his office weekly to get an answer to the same question.

The worst prof on the face of the planet. He never shows you how to do a math problem ever! If you go to him for extra help all he does is read the math book to you. I learned how to read in 1st grade I didn't need him to read to me. Reading theorms does nothing for me when it comes to learning how to actually compute a math problem. FIRE HIM!

I agree with many others on this list, avoid at all costs. I tested out of this class but wanted to take it as a review and didn't know what the hell he was talking about most of the time. You can go to him outside of class, but that won't help either. He's boring in class and ambiguous on the tests. Take it from LoBello.

When people said "avoid at all costs" I laughed. Seriously rearrange your whole schedule, take an 8 am, or do whatever you can not to have this man. Have to retake this class as a result. Picks a few favorites and sticks with them, is unclear in explanations, embarrasses people in class.

He was pretty tough at first, but after our first test, he either understood that the test was just too hard, or that we were just too dumb. Definately a smart man, knows his stuff, and spends a lot of time actually explaining. If you want to be a math major, and know your stuff, u gotta take Ben.

He's not THAT bad, and certainly not evil. Very helpful outside of class, but doesn't really have a sense of where the class is in terms of comprehension. He's pretty compassionate as far as final grades are concerned. Who ever would have thought the registrar would curve?
