Comment:

A great guy who cares about his students. He can go off on tangents about his experiences in Italy, but they're funny. Slow pace in the classroom. Gives some homework, but it's easy, just 2 pages of short exercises. Study for midterm and especially the final. I 100% recommend this professor and course if you have the slightest interest in italian.

I didn't really learn much Italian, but honestly, who cares? Barone is hysterical (he lies about everything, in the funniest way), and obv. loves teaching. Decent amount of vocab quizzes, but judging by my final grade, he is really generous about dropping as many as it takes for you to get an A.

It is professionally gratifying that I have a teacher who is not afraid to give controversial assignments. We recently were given raeding from the great "Catullus" which was somewhat risque . signore barone is THE best teacher at marist. you learn the basics & he tells you his whole life story plus his opinion on anything and everything. i wish he was my grandpa, he's hysterical. a lot of vocab quizzes, but theyre easy. two tests and they werent bad at all. take him! you won't regret it.

Signore Barone is one of my top 2 fav professors at Marist. He makes learning a language fun. 2 tests and a couple of quizzes, not hard at all. Complete sweetheart, loves to talk about italian culture and share stories of his past, I love going to class!
