Good teacher. He has open discussions and allows you to earn extra points towards your final grade. He doesn't lecture on everything in the book, only what you really need to know and answers everyone's questions. He loves school so he really has a passion for learning and really knows his stuff. He's a very smart man.

He makes you do two assignments wich are really easy, and 2 tests which are worded tricky, still if you paid attention to lectures you will be able to get an A. Dont buy the book. Oh and if he had guests during classes he will ask you what they talked about in the test.

Got an "A" but Sparrow is an old fart, that really needs to retire... sooner than later. Not helpful at all. In this class you basicly teach yourself, while the old fart gets paid...

Class is fairly easy. The 2 assignments are easy enough. Only 2 tests that are really easy if u study hard & all the material went over in lectures. Don't really need the book-- only needed to find a quote for 1 paper-- waste of 100 bucks if u ask me. 98% of the test questions from the lecture. Nice guy & very stylish dresser.

Sparrow is a wise fellow with a kingly cotton beard but tends to ramble and lose focus often. I could also see how he might be perceived as mean. The class itself is a breeze. No, it's a walk in the park. It's a walk in a very breezy park. You really ought to feel bad about yourself if you end up with less than an A.

Comment:

Basically a lazy old retiree who has the class teaching itself. He even paired up with other gut to avoid work. No real lectures. What am I paying good money for? I think the white beard was grown to make himself look intelligent and for people to show respect. Some students fall for this, not me!

Boring lectures, the tests are kinda hard but if you do the 2 easy writing assignments, you'll get a B even if you got C's or D's on the tests. If you talk in class you can get 1 extra credit point per day.

if you go to class and make even retarded coments you can get EC = to like 20% of the total points in the class. Read the chapter summaries. follow directions for an automatic 100% on both papers. tests are kinda hard but ec and papers fix that.

He is easy... doesn't use a study guide, but the class is pretty basic and you don't really need one. Two Tests, and two two-page papers, not a very stressful class. Highly recommended. Very helpful, and lectures are more like disscussions.

I couldn't manage going to class because his lectures were boring and I felt like they were about nothing. Can easily get a B just by doing the 2 assignments. Midterm and final are somewhat difficult--pay attention to guest speakers-they're on the test.

Easy class, but only with regularly attendance. Just do the two short writing assignments and you can expect a B even if you get a C on all the tests. I got an A just by scanning through some of the chapters.
