Comment:
If you've ever seen The Office, Jordan will remind you of the character Andy who studied at Cornell and never stops talking about it. Jordon brings it up every chance he gets. Lectures are long & irrelevant to the quizzes. Kind of a harsh marker and unclear as to what he expects from the projects. Also too much of the grade relies on group projects

He is very knowledgeable about the topic of food marketing and the class may seem interesting but trust me its not. He goes on every class with long lectures that don't relate to the quizzes. The quizzes are extremely specific to the point you'd have to memorize the articles. He's a tough grader and comes off as a know it all. Displays favouritism.

Jordan is a passionate lecturer and he cares about students. I love his well-preparedness before lectures. You can download all his slides even weeks before his class on Moodle. However, he would make some changes to the slides shown in the class so that they will be up-to-date. One thing I would suggest is that start doing your PMP early.

Lectures are fun and informative, course readings are relevant and easy, projects are unique and entertaining. Overall, he's a very solid prof. The only negative thing to say is that group work makes up a very large part of the final mark in this class, so make sure you get a good group.

He is hilarious and charming, and his lectures are captivating. This is coming from someone who absolutely hates marketing, but his humour made the class tolerable to me. My only complaint is that the grading seems a bit subjective, but it is marketing, so I didn't expect 100% fair grading anyway. Overall I will totally take his class again.

Hands down one of the best teachers I've had at JMSB. Extremely knowledgable and hilarious. It was an evening class and I'm usually super tired by then, but he made the material very interesting and managed to keep the class awake at all times. He was a hard grader on the group projects, but was much more lenient on the individual paper. Take him!

This is more of a rating of the class in general than the professor, as I had zero interaction with the professor. It's clear that he's very knowledgeable once you read the book, but the grading on the assessments was done by the TA and was all over the place. I've yet to take the final exam, but I would NOT recommend this class at all.

TA graded, TA went MIA, section got bad marks. Didn't get any feedback or grades for any assignments. Teacher didn't answer emails, Teacher said students fault for bad grades, didn't provide feedback or guidelines. Teacher showed up late to final with "i'm your prof" boat tan and was condescending. Never again. Teacher full of himself IMO.

There is barely any interaction with the Profs for this class except the recorded 3 min sessions in lessons and 2 live sessions to go over the first 2 assignments. Your go to person is your TA. No midterms, just 3 assignments which are not very easy and a final test. Long modules to read . no participation required online.

Be prepared to do a lot of reading and writing. The book used for the course was developed by Dr Lebel and Dr Simpkins. I enjoyed all the lessons because they equip you with the tools to succeed after graduation. I particularly enjoyed the modules on interviewing, resumes, and cover letters. This course is a life saver! Highly recommended!

Extremely helpful class if you are graduating. Makes you think about your future. Teaches you the basics of marketing, how build great resumes and covers letters. NOT an easy class. Prepare to write A LOT on the 3 installments. Exam was tricky so study (lots of case scenarios). Everything is graded by TA's. Dr. Le Bel is hot and knowledgable.

I worked harder for this class than any other this semester because his classes are interesting & he brings his own knowledge/experiences to them. A lot of guest speakers- some of them ineffective. I've never enjoyed and been more proud of working on a mandate where the client was actually present. So rewarding and definitely makes you work harder.

I did not enjoy this experience. No guidance given for assignments!! Marked by TAs (no consistency). He always speaks about himself and does not help you when you need it. He does not care about his students. Avoid this teacher all cost.

Very long assignments. Interesting material. If you like writing you'll do fine but if you slack you'll feel it. The final is not easy at all. They've changed the class so don't rely on previous comments too much. Use a lot of double negatives or all of the above. Goodluck!

Prof. Lebel is extremely knowledgeable about Marketing. He is very engaging in class and makes us really interested in the material. Getting an A in his class is a challenge as he is a demanding person. I highly recommend his class , by far the best professor at the MBA program.

Food Marketing - He's extremely knowledgable and passionate about what he's doing. Has enormous experience in the field and stories galore. Brought in tons of guest speakers. But he's pretty demanding... got the impression he overestimated us or what can reasonably be expected in a university class. Interesting course but high expectations.

Hands down the best prof I've had at Concordia. There is a reason this man won the Dean's Award for Teaching Excellence. Makes classes fun and interesting, you never get bored. Tough marker, but he expects a lot from his students. You get more out of this class than just the grade, and that's what's important for later in life.
