I've never been interested in poetry before taking Prof Frank's class. She shows so much passion for the subject and really wants you to understand the material. Homework is heavy but easy for the beginning of the semester. Towards the end the workload is less. Just do your homework and participate, you will be fine!

I liked this professor a lot but I don't feel like I learned a ton... She is very sweet and we had good class discussions. I used didn't actually read some of the longer stuff we were supposed to, just read summaries online and I still did really well. If you like literature you'll like this class.

Totally scatter-brained!!! Very unclear, especially with essay questions on the midterm and final. She's a nice woman, but she is not the greatest teacher. You will stare at the clock the entire time. More of a history than lit class, but there is tons of reading.

Even though I wasn't happy with my final grade, I enjoyed her class. She encouraged us to talk to each other about our essays which helped us open up and feel relaxed. I also loved that she told us about her stories life experiences. She is polite to rude students. Teachers are usually always getting down to business but she kept the class alive.

I really liked her, she was a bit odd but thats what made her interesting. I feel I was able to connect with her. She was also very passionate about poetry& loved talking about it which inspired me. Haven't had a lot of good professors here at FIT but I did like her. Just do your work, don't be late, share your thoughts and be passionate for poetry

Very interesting, very nice. She promotes class discussion. As long as you say something, you'll get a good participation grade. There is reading every week. I suggest looking up interpretations of poems so you can sound really smart in discussion.

Worst english teacher i have ever had.She made me do her a favor at the end of the semester and never gave me a deadline. When i didnt meet her expectations she wrote me a nasty email. "i would never make it in the business world with my laziness".Very confusing and she would just look at you and tell you you were wrong if you didnt agree with her.

Nice teacher. Allows you to rewrite papers if you didn't do well but is a tough grader and doesn't explain why you received that grade. Will tell you your work is good in your draft but will give you a C on your final paper.

I was a little worried going into this class, but she is so likable! The work load really isn't too bad. It is a little hard to figure out what she likes in an essay, but her grading isn't too bad. :) Overall, she isn't a bad teacher, I enjoyed the class.

She is very passionate about the pieces of literature. Need to print the readings, and buy the play book to keep up with the readings. Make sure you read and do all the homeworks-it will help in class discussions and tests. It?s a lot of reading at time.

Be ready to work. She assigns hw EVERY week and sometimes a quiz. For an elective it's alot. She's nice but class gets very boring. Take good notes because her midterm/final are hard and essay format. Try and avoid getting her.

Not the best professor. Thinks she's always right. She really thinks that everyone in the class should take her nonsense seriously. What she doesn't realise is that we are only taking her class because we HAVE to.

She is very random and you will have 3 readings from the book every week, and usually take about 45 min total. Her test and homework are easy as long as you read, except for her essay question you never know what she is looking for. She keeps you the entire time and you will talk about the readings one hour for each

She loves everything. If you answer questions correctly she will make you feel so smart. Can sometimes be a little crazy, but she's a theater teacher so what can you aspect. You have to act in class and read short plays, but not difficult. As long as you show some effort in acting, she is happy. Don't get her angry though, she freaks out.

Wow, the most passive aggressive teacher ever. Her voice is so gentle, never raises her voice, but she'll play you in the most gentle way! Show up to the class do all you work and research if you're in theatre, and you'll do fine! It's an elective to take seriously... seriously.

This professor is very involved in the class. She grades very hard and unfairly. She likes students who participate and will reflect it in your grade. If you are not a strong writer, you will struggle.

Dr. Frank is a really really smart woman. The class is challenging, you will have to think outside the box and work hard. The final was the hardest of all my classes this semester.I enjoyed her because she loves literature and realizes it's hard for some people. People will struggle if you don't love the subject. If you do, you'll love her.
