If you aren't willing to take responsibility for your own learning, then you probably will hate this class. DO NOT BE FOOLED. This is a great grad prep class. If you listen closely, come prepared, and participate in the discussion you really will learn to think in new ways. His style is very hands-off and growth oriented. Deal with it and learn!

Glenn is so very smart. Extremely passionate. But kind of passive? He uses very complex academic speak and has us reading his own research papers that are full of heavy layers of complex jargon. As a psych major this man and his class made me fear I had no chance of being a psychologist. My other Psych professors confirmed I am doing fine it's him

This is the worst class I have ever taken. His lectures are long winded, repetitive, and boring. The MAJOR research project was poorly created, a huge time waster, and at that point everyone else has given up trying for a decent grade. He is disengaged with his students. His exams questions are confusing and he grades the exam essays harshly.

The only good thing about this class is that you are forced to do most of the research portion with students that hate the class just as much as you. Be warned: members of your group drop the class last minute because they are just over it. I dont blame them. But that only makes all the work you have to do increase drastically right before Finals.

It is not uncommon that Dr. Adams will surprise you with an extra assignment, mandatory lecture that isnt during class time, and a research paper, due during finals week, that wasnt ever listed in the syllabus, and that he told us about with over Thanksgiving Break. This class is a major time suck and I wouldnt wish it on my worst enemy.

Dr. Adams uses complex terminology and explanations; indeed, he words his exams in the same manner. This is certainly a challenging course.

Hardest professor I've ever had. If I could of switched I would have. He is way to smart for his own good. I actually had To go to another professor to understand what he meant. He was so hard. I would not recommend his classes.

Prof Adams is clearly very dedicated to his subject matter. But just because you have a PhD does not mean you should teach. His job is to make the concepts understandable to the students, not to shove them out there in an overly complex manner and hope they get it. Tests are full of double speak and hard to understand.

Questions on tests are very complicated. He is not very helpful when you ask him questions he just keeps talking without answering the question. Boring lecture. Makes simple concepts harder to understand than they really should be.

course very applicable to living in the world. More students should learn to recognize brilliance & how lucky they are to sit in a classroom and gobble up brain food prepared by highly knowledgeable scholars. Lectures very engaging and thought provoking. ask questions if you don't understand something. if you're brain is lazy take a grad student.

The one thing I didn't like about the class is that the test consisted of in class stuff and out of class/on your own material. Other than that, it was a pretty good course.

I thought the class was sometimes interesting, sometimes really boring. he might be hard to understand, but if you work hard, an A is very possible! Not a bad class, but I expected more. Need to read book for discussion quizzes

The class was very interesting and engaging. Do not take if you're not interested in a global perspective/are not willing to work hard. Can get an A with attendance and participation.

Dr.Adams is talented and engaging. If you want to expand your way of thinking, become a better person, and get credit take this class; slackers don't bother. Psych mjr: don't miss it. Come to class & ask questions if you don't get something. 1st day he says there are easier sections & encourages switching if not interested in global perspective.

Dr. Adams is awesome. He will challenge your way of thinking and open a whole new way of seeing the world. Many students expect to be fed the same things they know, but grow up... a university class should challenge your way of thinking, otherwise why get a higher education. Basically, hard but TOTALLY worth it.

What some of the people here are saying is true, Adams is a tough teacher, and he expects a lot. I got a crappy TA, which didn't help. BUT I worked really hard and got an A. I learned more in this class than half of my other KU classes combined. So, if you want to work hard and learn A TON then take his class. If not then don't take his class.

This class isn't as hard as people say it is... they just expect it to be easy. He was a really funny guy and has a dry sense of humor. His tests weren't that bad at all! I don't know what these people are talking about. In all fairness to him, he tells EVERBODY when they sign up for his class that it isn't going to be a blow off class. Enroll!

I took PY 333 & 360 and found both very informative and looked forward to the lectures. Honestly one of the most helpful classes you can take if you are a psych major. You have to read the material to do well on the tests, but grading was fair. Sometimes he did not seem open to differing opinions & I hated how the group project was large % of grade

Worst teacher at KU. I went to class only to get participation points. His lectures were worthless because he jsut talked about random things that had nothing to do with the test. I would switch if possible. I HATE THIS TEACHER.
