Comment:
Glenn Fox is a great prof! FARE 1040 specifically is a great course with him. There are a lot of readings required and the seminar is work heavy and participation graded. As for Glenn himself he is intelligent, interesting, a little focussed in his own works. Great prof, great course. You have to work hard to get good marks.

Yes, this course has a ton of reading to do and you HAVE to go to lectures in order to pass this course however, it was structured very well and I learned more than I did in any of my other courses. Glenn makes it easier to understand some tough concepts and different ways of thinking, plus hes a great guy who gets you excited about the material.

Resource economics is a great course- though it is certainly not easy. You will be required to complete readings each week and discuss them in class. But luckily the content is interesting and the perspective unique. Fox facilitates discussion and teaches you how to efficiently analyze academic sources. He cares about the success of his students

If you are accustomed to breezing through classes without having to critically engage you will not enjoy this course. However if you want a forum to really analyze readings and learn from your peers as well as your prof then you should take this course. Critical thinking is a must, there are a lot of readings but you will leave a better student

Great professor! A fair amount of readings but you get a lot out of the course too. Fox always is interested in talking about the readings and our thoughts and is a really friendly and helpful professor. Also very explicitly specific in what he wants for assignments which makes writing them easier. I think he is a great professor and a great guy.

He's an interesting guy but pretty opinionated. Though you have to work for your grade, he is always willing to help and clarify.

One of the best professors I have ever had. He addresses his opinions but does not make others feel like they need to conform to those opinions. He challenges critical thinking and readily accepts others thoughts as viable opinions. I have learned to explain and express my ideas better and participate in educated discussion.

Comment:
Very heavily opinionated and expresses his opinions in lecture. Honestly did not enjoy his lectures at all. He is very inconsistent with the amount of material he presents in class and the speed he moves through the slides. Always making references to his professional experiences beyond a point of sharing - almost seems like the dude is bragging.

Fox preaches the same thing every class. His instructions are not very clear, and the work load for his course is not in line with other 4th year classes. His lectures amount to mostly memorizing facts, with no original thought interjected. He makes bad jokes as well.

Comment:
teaches student to regurgitate information, with little critical analyse. Intimidates students. Represents an antiquated style of economics that eventually lead to the 2008 economic crisis. He attacks peer reviewed science, with complete nonsense he pulls from the annals of Libertarian studies. His 4th year economics class has absolutely no math...

A joke.... a climate change denier, this prof repeatedly demonstrated he cared little for academic integrity and continually attacked peer-reviewed science with hearsay and opinion. Should not be teaching at any serious academic institution. No one should pay to learn ignorance is acceptable.

Dr. Fox is a critical thinker who encourages the same. Though he holds strong opinions he will mark fairly even if you disagree so long as it is well supported. Don't take his course unless you wish to put in the necessary effort to excel. AGEC 4310 has alot of classical readings but this builds a strong foundation for analysing resource economics.

Mindless drones need not apply; however, if challenging all of your preconceived notions of environmentalism and government intervention appeals to you his courses are a must. His teaching convinced me to pursue grad school and academia in general. Highly recommended for people who want to learn.
