He'll overload you on handouts, but in general as long as you pay attention in class he's not too bad. If he gives you a project, you can justify a lot of simplifications on design choices to him.

Great professor, knows his stuff. Terrific practical knowledge that you won't find with most professors. You're graded against the class, meaning test averages can be very low. Don't need to worry about your grade, only how it relates to the average. Asks specific detailed questions, multiple choice and T/F, if you're a good guesser you'll be fine.

Tests are tough (multiple choice and problems), must know the material very well in order to pass. He will go into great detail in the theory, but could do better in going over examples, he just glosses over the example problems in the book. Assigns homework but sends email with solutions with it. DO THE HOMEWORK if you want to pass the tests.

Great professor! He really knows his stuff, and he is willing to help you if you do not understand something. I took him for thermo I as a civil engineering major, and I had more respect for his field and more interest in it after taking his class. Just understand the homework and read the material and you will be fine. I would recommend him.

Dr. Cunningham is very good at what he does with HVAC and Steam Power Plants. Will give you a solid foundation in principle and in practical application. He has worked in the field and knows what employers will expect. Do not miss class and show good faith effort and you might find your class grade pleasantly rounded up a hair. Would take again

Lots of handouts. Quizzes over handouts. Explains concepts really well, but math part is hard to follow. Lots and lots of reading and handouts. Printed off what was needed from the discontinued text. Field trip to the Kingston plant was fun.

He assigns homework and takes it up. He only looks for completeness though. He lets you have a formula sheet on the test, but the test consist of multiple choice and problems. The multiple choice are all or none. This tends to lower you test grades substantially. You really need to know what you are doing.

Total JERK!!! Makes fun of students as they are attempting to present their projects...asks rediculous questions in an attempt to get them stumped. Obviously he couldn't make it in industry with his attitude and has to resort to teaching for half the pay. As a result, he takes it out on the students.
