if you want to be good at whatever major requires you to take this class, TAKE HIM!! He has critique hours and even has an assistance if you can't make it to his hours. Their opinions are EXTREMELY helpful and will allow you to think more creatively. He tells you that the book is vital but I never got them and did good on his exams. TAKE HIM

He is a good professor. I had twice and again this semester. He really wants you to do well and if you take his advice and do what he tells you to you will get an easy B. Also it helps to get on his good side like talk to him after class. Trust me it helps ALOT in the long run.

Don't be scared when you're assigned goldman, be thankful. The semester went very smoothly with him and you reap the benefits of his advisor status (loft, rule bending, more likely to be on the poster, field trips). He guides you to design YOUR project (as opposed to designing it for you) which is really what you want and how you learn best. Easy B

goldman allows for a lot of freedom in his studio and often allows major bending of the rules on a project. he is helpful and is very clear in his criticisms. he is also one the the easier teachers as long as you do the work and think about his critiques. overall good teacher and good for first year becides being deficient in cad/rhino knowledge.

There are a lot of Glenn bashers, but he is a good critic and knows a lot about architecture. He is very helpful in design and if you actually know what you are doing, he will let you design freely and give good insight and suggestions. Overall great studio experience.

gave me the same crit in presentation 3 two times on two completly diffrent projects! he's quiet preprogramed and you'd only appreciate him if you're either a mediocre or if you dont know any better. if you're passionate and challengable look for someone else. he's NARROW MINDED

I feel sorry for you if you got stuck with Goldman as your studio critic. He cares more about your renderings than your architecture. He refuses to see any work that's not on the computer. He has no design sensibility. Have you seen his house? I almost switched majors because of this guy.

This man is responsible for us having all the hardware and software we have, he knows everyone of stature at Autodesk somehow. I very much doubt his abilities as an architect though. If you noticed, its stuff from HIS studios thats on NJSoA's website.
