He is very knowledgeable in Chemistry. Doesn't mind questions at all. He will even stay behind and answer questions at the end of class. The quizzes were done in groups. He even provides tons of practice work online to ensure you are well prepared for his tests. Love this guy!!

Excellent professor. I had taken Organic before and not done very well. 4 years later, I decided to retake for professional school (I'm a graduate student). I loved the class. I went over my old course notes as well as those in this class for the final and was amazed at how logically I thought the reaction sequences were this time vs. the old.

Excellent teacher. Class test average is a 77.66 for all three tests, but I don't understand why it would be that low. I made a 97 test average for all three tests. Incredibly clear in his explanations. I don't think it's possible to simplify explanations more than he does. One of the best teachers I've ever had.

He is an amazing teacher! I had never taken chemistry in high school, and he knew that, so he did a great job teaching the class the basics. He is clear, and if you do not understand something then you can go to his office, and he will make it clear for you. Take him. The best teacher!

Mr. Ivett is a fabulous teacher. He is completely clear in his explanation of the world of chemistry. His in class group quizzes help you stay on top of topics, and he provides you with sample tests to prepare for his 3 semester exams. He was incredibly helpful in tutoring me for organic chemistry as well. Such a nice man! Highly recommend.

What an amazing teacher! Organic CHM is pretty dull stuff and pretty monotonous, but Ivett's class is broken down so well and his teaching style is so in depth that he commands for attention to be paid. He doesn't blow off any questions and is thorough in his explanations. Exams are very similar to the practice tests, and his demeanor is great.

He knew the material well, but I wasn't a fan of his attitude. I took the first organic at clemson and even though i had an A all the way through, he still made it seem like I didn't deserve it. I went to his office plenty of times, and most times he wasn't very helpful at all. He's a decent teacher, but not a great guy.

I highly recommend this teacher. I've had several chem teachers and he is by far the best at breaking down the material so that you can understand it. He's an easy grader also - quizzes are take home and exams are exactly like the practice exam he gives out and goes over prior to the real one. I also enjoy his pleasant disposition and silly jokes

Ivett seems like a nice guy, and is pretty clear during lectures. However he has a very cocky attitude and makes rude, inappropriate comments on returned papers that make you feel terrible. It is one thing to mark an answer wrong, but I do not believe in ridicule. This is NEW material to most students.
