Dr. Jonas is fantastic! He is always willing to help and answer questions. Very laid back and easy going. A little goofy at times but very knowledgeable. All material is in notes and in the lectures. You don't really have to read the textbook to do well. Would definitely take again. You rock dude!

Dr. Jonas is a really fun teacher. He does assign a lot of reading but I barely read anything assigned and made A's on all the test. He makes you write three papers but as long as you do them, you get a 100. Make sure you pay attention to what he writes on the board. But if you study the study guide you can easily pass.

Nice guy, but he is terrible. He acts like his course is the most important. His power points have so much ambiguity. If you skip class you will fail because he makes separate notes on the board. You have to study the book, the notes and the power point. He wants you to focus on his class. I wish I never had him as a teacher.

Dr. Jonas is my favorite prof. at Campbell University. You can clearly see that he enjoys teaching and his students. His lectures are sometimes long and tedious but essential for the tests. As long as you study your notes from his powerpoints, you will make an A. He is also extremely funny. :)

Dr Jonas is a very nice man who you can tell really enjoys the subjects that he teaches. My best advice for anyone taking this class is to PRINT OUT his powerpoints and take notes because he does move through class rather quickly. Also don't be fooled, this past semester he stopped having the tests online so you MUST study. and study everything!

Hes a decent guy overall and this class is pretty easy. Its really only intended for religion majors though. The reading assignment is an awful book that rips the bible apart and Jonas often rambles about his past and also about evangelists that he can't stand. I found him to be kinda annoying and arrogant mostly.

Dr. Jonas is one of my favorite professors at Campbell. He is one of the few who teaches religion in a way you can easily understand and relate to. He is also super laid back and easy to talk to. Dr. J is the man! P.S. Ask him to rap for you!

Awesome professor! If you have different theological view points, he won't hold it against you and doesn't force others to believe what he does. Taught me to respect others beliefs. Really learned a lot from him during my years as a religion major!

I'm a Campbell graduate and now in Divinity Schoool. While I agree that Dr. J is a lovely man, he failed to prepare me adequately for the rigors of historical studies in graduate school. His presentation of obscure facts as essential and his failure to connect historical events in a larger theological scheme are my primary complaints. Funny though.
