He has a lot to share, and is exeptionally funny. I didn't think that Shakepeare could be fun, but I was wrong. Don't think that because he's an old man, he will teach like one. He has the enthusiasum and energy of a twenty year old.

I took this class as a freshman and got an A in the course; it's not difficult, necessarily, if you read the plays, pay attention in class, and actually give the class a try. Then I went on a May Seminar with him to England & I learned so much; it was probably the best month of my life! He is the kind of teacher you remember for a lifetime.

Not my favorite professor. I love classroom discussion, and Dr. Lell lectures far, far too much for my taste. On the plus side, if you pay attention, you will almost always know what will be on every quiz, essay, and exam.
