2 midterms (40%) and 1 final (60%). Posts notes but go to class & office hrs helps. Focuses on fisheries and forests and managing it. Exams are like essays and can choose to use either or both math and/or intuition. If you try to understand it, its actually an interesting and straightforward class, but you do need to work for it.

Lectures are so boring - about 40% of students attend his lectures. Lectures also do not help with understanding the materials. Not as much of a GPA booster as people seem to think. His exams questions do not specify what he wants to see. Will deduct marks even if answers are right just for not providing enough details.

Munro's lectures can be really boring because of his monotonous tone and constant reiterations, though attendance is not mandatory at all. His exams are incredibly straightforward and his review sets are helpful, so it shouldn't be hard at all to do well in the class.

If you need a GPA booster, this is the prof for you. I was reading these comments and couldn't believe that a prof would give out the midterm questions before the exam once, let alone twice. Well he does, so for the midterms, literally study the review Q's word for word and you will get A's on both the MT's easy.

people, please don't confuse easiness with clarity (some of you may). his lectures are scattered and not organized, his notes has so many grammar mistakes, making it hard to understand. PURE memorization, waste of money for only a good grade.

I think Econ 472 is one of the easiest Econ courses I have taken in UBC. His notes are short and simple. For the exams, I just do past exams questions and study the printed notes but did not use the textbook even I have it. Because for the mt, u can choose 2/3 Q to answer and final 3/5.. it makes the exam a lot more easier. And No surprises!

Study his notes and you will do very well. The notes are very clear already but he does provide more explanations in class so that things are super easy to understand. Repeats himself, but overall he's nice and he knows his stuff. Doesn't reply to e-mails though. Flexibility on exam questions was a plus.

This is one of the course that you do not need a text. His notes are everything! Study his notes and you will Ace his MT. **Do his practice MT** 90% of his questions are taken from his practice MT, or should I say just study his practice MT? However, if you plan to learn anything about ECON, don't take him, was all pure memorization!made no sen

Easiest econ prof I;ve ever had. I took 356 with him in term 1 of 09/10 and got an A. His mids and finals are 99% similar to the practice question he posts. Just memorize his notes word by word and you will do fine. Textbook is useless. Went to 7 classes total (2 midterms, 3 reviews and first day and last day)

sweet prof. his midterms are 90% EXACTLY his review questions which he posts up very early. the answer to those review questions are word for word the notes he posts in class (which later he uploads on his site) if you like to memorize, this is the class for you! his final is a little more complex than his midterms.
