Graham was one of the best professors I've taken. He's funny, engaging, and extremely smart. I think we wrote 3 papers and those were the only deliverables all semester. The reading can sometimes be dense and hard to follow, but everything was explained during the lectures. I've been recommending him to everyone.

Loved him! The class itself was not my favorite due to the length and the time of day, but he made it really fun and interesting and was always there for guidance. There are 4 papers and that's the grade you get. Super nice guy!

LOVED HIM! Business Ethics is such an interesting class that I think everyone should take! Looked forward to going to class everyday and read such cool articles. Assigned reading isn't a lot everyday so it is definitely manageable. Participate in class so you can make sure you are understanding. Tests are written and similar to class discussions.

Absolutely take this class! If you do the reading that is about ten pages per class and participate every class you will do well. Participation is worth 20% and is based on your thoughts from reading. The tests are not complicated if you pay attention. Dr. McAleer was absolutely great!

He is a decent teacher and expresses a passion for what he teaches. However, 20% of the grade depends on participation. If you are naturally quite in class, you should not take it.

Dr. McAleer had me on the edge of my seat throughout the year. I am actually sorry the class is ending. He is a masterfull teacher and lecturer. Very enjoyable, sound fundamental exposure, enlightening experience. The work was sufficient but not overbearing. He is also a genuinely nice guy. Worth every penny.

Every student should be required to take Dr.McAleer. He is enthusiastic and presents material clearly and concisely so that non-philosophy majors can understand. He relates it to what is actually happening in the real world so one of the most relevant courses you will take! No games. Just 3 exams based on class notes. This guy is the man!

Just awesome. Had a great time in his class, he was challenging, intelligent and helpful. Where else do you get to apply philosophy to real world situations and to popular culture (We watched a number of films). Made me think, and that made me a better student.

Comment:
His course on sexual ethics from a Catholic perspective was challenging, interesting, and frustrating. It was a little crazy to hear a professor telling a group of college students (age 20!) that masturbation is a sin. He injected a lot of personal thoughts into his lectures, which I feel unbalanced the course, as he seems to oppose several Vatican II reforms. I would have appreciated a broader reading list than just Augustine and the late pope that takes into account more diverse attitudes towards sex.
