Comment:

Class is wasted by going over guidelines and "house keeping". Quizzes/tests are close to impossible to get 100% on. Every answer is picked apart to no end and given partial credit. Each week you take notes on a full textbook chapter and more notes on 3+ chapters from "Stuck Rubber Baby', the most uncomfortable story I have ever read.

Avoid him at all costs, the word empathy is not found in any of his readings. I gave him a 3 for clarity because he spends over half the class telling you the same info as the last class or talking about what your going to do for the class....the one thats half over. Bring a pillow.

Runs the class like his students are sociology majors.. This is the only class I've ever failed! -- his test questions you need to read 5 times before understanding what hes asking. My advice is take notes when you do the readings -- he lets you use notes on the test so if you don't take any, your screwed.

His class introduction was PRICELESS. He's actually an incredibly good professor. You WILL have to study and use your text book. He's not afraid to speak the truth of sociology, and his methods can actually be pretty entertaining. Mostly everyone else here seemingly got a**** grade. Hell, I got a C but I like his style.

He was all over the place when it came to Sociology. He focuses his grades primarily on tests and quizzes, SO BEWARE! He is a very difficult teacher. I unfortunately didnt do well in his class because of his hard grading and his teaching. He confuses students and focuses on pointless things. He loves index cards so definitely take notes.

never have i ever had such a mean, rude, and fugly in both appearance and character. the worst class EVER!!! loves to put PSM (Please See Me) on everything you get back. There is always something wrong with your work. Be prepared to be stared at the whole time. Loves to talk about sex, especially child prostitution.

The guy is now his stuff but he teach the class like he is teaching to Sociology majors. He seem like he has no clue where or how he is teaching to most of the students in my class were engineering majors. I had more work in his class than most of my engineering classes he asigne 3-4 hr of read every week and you have to take nots that he checks

Incredibly unclear about guidelines to projects and assignments. Biased against people who use computers to take notes, treats said students as if they plagiarize everything in their notes. He makes you paraphrase book definitions. Liberal grader, insanely rude, pretty full of himself. Encourages participation yet puts you down hard when wrong

Class//Dr. Davidoff can be both fun and interesting to listen to. He explores topics to a very in depth level that involves a lot of active participation much like a graduate level class where discussion is heavily graded and it is. Work//Mainly reading with weekly quizzes on that reading along with a final project.

Very interesting professor. Gives good lectures, but is also very demanding. You will work a lot for a good grade. He will do anything to help you. He is not conventional type of professor. I believe he would be better for graduate studies than for undergrad. If you are interested in Sociology, you will find this professor good for you.
