Belliveau is fantastic. His lectures are so funny, I actually looked forward to my 8am class with him. He does a few papers, but he is so helpful and is willing to give you so much feedback prior to grading. The books he had us read were interesting, his class was inspiring, and my time and money was very well spent.

I hate writing and expected to hate comp, not to mention it was at 8:30am! But Prof Belliveau kept his lectures entertaining and made me WANT to write/come to class. Lots of class periods were spent working on our papers, so it minimized our homework load if we utilized that class time.

Belliveau is the coolest guy. He makes literature interesting to anyone who will give him the slightest effort back. All the guys, including myself, who proudly hated literature before taking the class, grew to love books and art more in general. Definitely better than Western Lit.
