Do not be swayed by those who say this class was hard. Pay attention in class, read your book, study his powerpoint slides, and the tests are a breeze. He uses multiple choice tests, and they are all non-cumulative. He is very willing to throw out questions if too many people miss a particular question.

This class was way too hard for an intro class. The class itself was a blast and very interesting but when it came to the tests, they were so hard. I saw words as choices that I had never seen before...I would take him if you want to study a lot. Also, his sense of humor can be offensive but also entertaining. Wouldn't recommend if you want an A

I had a freshman mind set the first time i took him, so i ended up with a D. The 2nd time it was made clear that he was full of himself and a jerk. Overall though he is engaging and it is not boring. Make it to his class and go to the study sessions. His teaching assistant tells you everything that will be on the entire test. =)

Very engaging seminars with plenty of interesting and useful information above what the textbook had to offer. Very hard tests which involved analyzing scenarios and identifying terminology. Great lectures but sometimes his facetious remarks would come off as condescending and offensive.His lack of tact definitely has the potential to be offensive

I agree with the last comment. I didn't like his sense of humor! But I do have to admit he was not boring, even if you think he's way off base. I'd much rather have interesting than nice and boring. Tests are harder than necessary but if you study you should do well, I got an easy A.

Guess I'm the pessimist here, but I couldnt stand this guy. He has a very crude sense of humor; maybe my 15-yr-old brother would have enjoyed his class more than I did. He is also VERY full of himself. I guess he assumes most students don't read, because he would give us his "own" thoughts that actually came straight from the book. Still an easy A.

Very strong sense of humor, and you often feel like youre unknowingly taking part in his own experiment(s). This is how a PSYC class should be. Gives pretty detailed PowerPoints so if you don't read that much, you can still get by with a high B low A. Extra Credit for being in experiments. Drops lowest grade(includes final exam!)Easy A if you try!

Prof. Hollis is hillarious!! He always made the class laugh. His tests are kind of hard, but if you study hard and do the practice test, and the test online you will do fine! He made the subject interesting! I would recommend him to anyone!

He is Awesome!!!!!!!!! He goes out of his way to help. He is not here to hurt any student. He listens to us and he understands. I love him. He works with the student and not against us. Class is as easy as you make it. Would definitely take him again. I wish I could take him for all my classes!
