Nicest man I've ever met. Probably the most caring professor in the entire school. He will get nit-picky in your research papers, but he grades pretty generously compared to other professors. The class content is kinda boring for RandA, but his test are directly from his organized power points. Take Dr. Lewis over any other for R and A for your GPA

Dr. Lewis is one of the nicest professors ever! He is always ready to help a student and his non major bio class is not hard if you pay attention in class and take notes. He is very good about partial credit on his tests. Overall, great guy, not a bad class even for those not interested in bio!

Dr. Lewis is a great teacher. From what I've heard of the other Bio-102 teachers he is the best and I can attest for that. He always puts up the powerpoint he uses in class online for you to look at later. He wants you to do well in his class so much that he offers to replace your lowest test grade with whatever you got on the final exam!

Dr. Lewis is awesome! I highly recommend having him as a teacher. He's also a very friendly person and willing to help in any way he can. This class was very interactive and educational. Field trips were extremely fun and I learned much more in this class than any other class I've taken at Furman.

Dr. Lewis is one of the nicest people I've ever met. Though I was dubious about having a biology professor as the teacher of a writing seminar, I found that his comments were more helpful in strengthening my writing and rhetoric than any I've gotten from a English teacher. To sum it up: interesting class, great professor.

Multiple choice are tricky sometimes, short answers are a good way to get lots of points...The tests cover a lot of material, but he is always willing to answer any questions you have during class or in a meeting. From what I've heard, he is easier than most BIO 11 professors. I'd take him again :) He is a really nice guy.

AMAZING! Definitely one of the best professors!! He loves what he's teaching, which makes class even more enjoyable. He's very helpful and really cares about his students. He's also a very fair grader and only tests what he teaches or mentions in class. Take him if you get the chance!!

One of the best teachers at Furman. Loves science and loves his students. Organized lectures, fun field trips, helpful in and out of class. Wants you to do well and will do anything he can to help you learn! Outstanding guy and very very cool. Take him!!
