Avoid this class. The online lectures are horrible. He will mark something wrong for you but mark it correct for the next person. Google becomes your best friend to find answers. He gives you a 1/2 on an assignment and asks you to explain your answer when it never asked you to in the first place. I've never despised a class more than this one.

Had him for a summer class. It was a lot of work but I feel prepared for the next class. Learned more at MCC with him than I did at CMU. It seems like he is always available online. I really liked how short his lectures were and definitely liked the ability to re-do homework, quizzes and tests.

His class involves A LOT of work. Assignments every day that usually take 2-4 hours. Very difficult if you are taking other classes and/or working. He does a good job teaching the course but because there is so much homework, it is not easy.

I took his online lab and lecture. He's a goofy guy. The class might be homework heavy, but you learn a lot! If you get something wrong on the homework, you have 3 days to fix it for full credit. He gives you practice tests and tells you everything you must memorize. The class is tough but he wants you to succeed and encourages you to do your best.

I've never been great at chemistry, and Marzak was easy to talk to and to ask questions. He was patient with me and helped me get through the course. His homework grading is very clear, but you can re-do your assignments and quizzes. You should easily be at an A before tests and the exam.

Best online class ever. The instructor provides constant feedback and communicates on a daily basis. You get to re-do work and this really helped me. Not only that but he gives you clues on how to go about re-doing that work. Zoom meetings were fun even though you sometimes have to answer questions. This instructor really cared.

Took this class online last winter. At first it seemed like there was a lot of technology, but it became clear why this was so. He allows you to re-do concepts in order to master them and this worked really good with my working schedule and family. Our online meetings got to the point where we all knew each other and laughed a lot. I recommend!

This is my second class with this professor. His quiz and homework system works really well in my opinion. You get a chance to re-do work and I find this really helpful even though there was a lot of content. He also met with me at nights and on the weekends. Best online instructor I have had so far.

I learned tremendous amounts of new information and skills from his course and he provided me extreme amounts of graciousness. His style and approach to teaching the material is well thought-out and informative. If all the presented material is reviewed, very little questions arise. I can assuredly say that he is a memorable instructor.

This professor does not give up on you. I was having problems at work and in my personal life and he bent over backwards to make sure I passed. I think he tried to come off as hard, but he gave me every second and third chance I needed. I actually scored well on my tests because of this. Best online class I have taken.

His lectures are full of mistakes and are unedited. His quizzes are allowed to be redone which is really nice, but because there are so many incorrect answers that he won't fix you have to keep redoing the quiz and give incorrect answers to be marked correct. He doesn't care about the students and honestly is the worst prof I've ever had

This professor was amazing. After taking it two times from other professors, I finally found a professor that cared for my learning. His online system is amazing in that it allows you to make mistakes and learn from them. I learned more in this class than any other class on campus. It was a lot of work, but he was always there for us.

This class has a lot of work, but Prof. Marczak made it so that we could re-do work and constantly allowed me to improve my grade. He was available online via something called Zoom meetings and I met with him several times after 11pm and even on the weekend. This class was not an easy A like some MCC courses. It felt like a real college course

I really struggled in my person life due to family issues, but professor Marczak was very understanding and gave me extra help whenever I needed it. The practice tests really helped and he would often use lab to help us prepare. By the end of the course, you should really know your grade going into the final exam. There were no surprises.

Just finished this class. Got an A-. Was told professor was really hard, but course did not seem that hard. Professor constantly gave us chances to redo work and prove that we knew the material. Online class was most organized I have taken. He gave us daily feedback and met with us at nights and on the weekend.

I was really surprised to read these comments, must be from students who do not like to work. His lectures are very clear and contain no fluff, he let's you re-do homework, he has practice tests and is available after hours online. Most of these students must have been smoking crack or expected an easy A. He's tough, but he's fair.

AVOID! I had him for College Success and he said he tells his Chem students wrong things on purpose because he thinks its funny! No grading system, so you cant check how you are doing during the course because he doesn't even know. If you have him, DROP. Or start wearing low cut shirts so he can decide if you pass or fail the last week of class.

Definitely stay away from this guy. His methods of grading are ridiculous and would probably get him in trouble if his superiors discovered it. College students should not have to take pictures of their notes written in a chosen format for credit. Stay as far away from this guy as you can.

Avoid! I was in his summer class online and did not learn anything about chemistry. The class was so focused on things like skyping and building graphs and recording videos. Plain and simple it was busy work, and lots of it. Datta is a way better teacher, period. He also requires a very expensive book which you must buy new.
