Not even an animal science major or interested in animals but one of the best professors I have every had! His lectures are extremely entertaining, he's funny and he really cares about his students and is passionate for helping you succeed. Makes the subject matter easy to understand too.

amazing teacher, attendance isn't mandatory, but his exams come straight from his lectures, and it would be a real shame to miss his lectures, and there's no reason to not go to class because he makes it really interesting.

Probably the BEST GenBio prof out of all the ones I've had. His slides are actually notes, not just pictures with lines on the side for you to write on. The exam reflects his notes, but def also read the book. Def didn't mind looking at him for 1 hour 20 mins either

Katz's lectures were probbaly the most highly attended because his personality is awesome and his lectures are easy to follow. He keeps you listening and doesn't put you to sleep. His powerpoints are very good.

Good teacher, open to discussions and participation, respectful of students and what they have to say, but not aware enough of what goes on in class in terms of students annoying other students or people texting or on their phones, which is annoying to other students. Should look around more and notice what students are doing and deal with it.

Dr. Larry Katz's lectures are clear and his expectations made clear. He is however a tuned out classroom manager, unaware about what goes on in his classrooms. There are too many students who text message during class. It would be nice if the instructor could tell these students to either pay attention or leave so that other students can learn.

I love this man. He makes me want to go to class all the time. His personality is awesome and his lectures are easy to follow considering he keeps you listening and doesn't put you to sleep. some of the guest lecturers, however, are extremely boring. Studied a day before all my exams and pulled off Bs. i love katz.

The class is fairly straightforward. Test questions can be trickily worded so make sure you study alot and really know the material. Prof. Katz is a great guy. Entertaining, funny, and he really knows what he's talking about. The text book is useless, don't even buy it.
