Professor Wegner is literally THE BEST professor at La Crosse. Of course he expects thoughtful work but you learn SO MUCH about history from him, and he's so passionate about it that class flies by! My hardest class because of the papers (although you become a better writer) but also my FAVORITE. Wegner ROCKS!

TAKE HIM! Hated HIS prior to his class now i would major in it. his passion is inspiring. he grades hard but if you simply do the readings you will ace it. readings are pretty short too and actually really interesting. tests are 2 question essays but gives you a choice of questions so that made them easy. you dont have to try hard to pass his class

Wegner's class is fairly difficult but he is so passionate about what he teaches that he is willing to help with what ever. You can tell that he loves teaching college student and he get really into each topic and has great personal experiences that he incorperates into his lessons! I would recommend his class.

Absolutely the greatest professor at UW-L, and according to his recent award, the best professor in the state! He is extremely helpful and very knowledgable. I would go out of my way to take Dr. Wegner again. He is a phenomenal person and professor.

BEST history teacher I have every had. I always found history so boring but he was always super enthusiastic and loved teaching. He makes history actually interesting. I would definitely recommend him.

He is a great professor! I didn't really want to take the class, but I enjoyed showing up purely because of his enthusiasm and passion for teaching. He shares wonderful personal stories and really keeps everything understandable. He doesn't just lecture or use only slide shows, but he shows video clips and images too. I would recommend him.

He is a wonderful professor and is so passionate about teaching. I have never seen someone love history as much as he does. However, the class is very time consuming and he expects you to read a lot. He loves pop quizzes and says they are easy .. not so much. The material isn't hard .. but you just have to work VERY hard in this class.

Professor Wegner is absolutely brilliant. His class is a challenge, but you actually learn a ton in his class. He goes into such fluid detail that you are constantly engaged and involved. He expects a lot from his students, which is wonderful because it shows that he believes we can succeed! Inspirational and inspiring.

expects a lot of his students but he is very passionate about education and life in general. I would recommend if you are motivated to learn (but probably not if you are looking for an easy A, or just to fulfill major requirements). The second half of the semester is better in my opinion- no final exam, just a presentation.

He is a pretty nice guy, but maybe isn't the most interesting or effective teacher, but you don't hate the guy. Do the reading and come to class and you will do fine, no problem. But maybe bring a cross word puzzle to help you pass the time.

I loved Wegner. He is a hard grader and does expect a lot but it is obvious that he loves his subject...something that seems rare. I did find it difficult to get high grades because he looks for details that you may not necessarily need in you writing, but his love for education makes me definitely recommend him for EFN 303! Cute little guy too.

I thought he expected way too much for this class being only 2 credits. He's really enthusiastic about what he teaches and he's really intelligent but I think he sometimes forgot that we hadn't been researching the material for 50 years like he had. He expects lots of detail in papers and on the essay part of the test. I would take someone else

He is kinda weird but it makes the class fun and brings everyone together to laugh. He is a very easy grader and is willing to help anyone who asks for it. WARNING do not miss discussion even if you are sick. You still loose 10 points which is a lot in this class. I would recommend him anyways!
