This teacher, if you can call him that, is horrible. Really there isn't a better way to say it. I came across this cite unintentionally and actually graduated quite a few years ago. He was bias against me because he believed I offended him on a project I did for class. He had his students teach because he didn't know what he was doing.

After being graduated for a couple years I will still say he is the worst professor I have ever had, for numerous reason: inconsistent with grades, exams, & expectations for his classes, repeats stories of his lack of experience in the industry, no book and students give presentation (his lecture) on a book which is the worst idea ever. Good Luck!

Prof M offers useful guidance and fundamental information. Assignments are designed to enhance understanding of key principles & how they are applicable in various fields of media.Ill remarks likely come from indulgent students who limit investment in their efforts to meet expectations but feel entitled to grades that indicate superior performance.

Gregory Martin is one of the best professors ever. I realized this more after I graduated and stepped into the real world. He always expects the best and really preps you for the real world! I loved his class formats, esp. the Ulocal productions. You will learn every production role in that class!!! Thank you SCSU for Mr. Martin!!

He has been out of the industry for so long he doesn't know how to teach for future generations. Every class in the TV major, 277,377,476, and477 are all the same class with a little more added each semester. There is no diversity of what we "learn", it's all the same thing. After 277,just sit back and listen to the same thing for the next 3 yrs

He is a great guy to learn from. His classes are really interesting and he really helps promote the school. His work on Husky Productions has really helped it develop into something special for students. He is a nice guy and his class is enjoyable, even if he does ramble.

Wow, what can I say?It is really to bad you have to go through this guy in order to get a degree in TV production.Class consists of him rambling on about how much he knows about the industry. He is knowledgable and gives some good insight into TV, but doesn't actually teach the class any helpful skills for future careers. Not a teacher by no means.

I am confused as to all the bad ratings for Martin. He is one of the reasons why this department has the credentials it does. Listen to him, he knows his stuff, and he is a very genuine man.

By far the worst professor. He teaches the wrong material for the class, gives boring lectures, grades unfairly and expects more than what we are capable of. Martin may be knowledged in what he is teaching, but does a horrible job of teaching it. DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS. HE SUCKS!!!!

This professor knows (for the most part) on what he is teaching, however he teaches the class in a most innappropriate manner. He lacks in grade consitency and is very unclear with assignments. In my third year of college, he is by far the most horrible professor.

This Guy wastes your time. He has a student teach the course then expects you to know how to work all the systems when I doubt he does. Each student teaches a chapter of the book. He does not do in anyhands on training with the AVID and is very inconsistent in grading. Too bad no other choice.

Gregory is an awesome professor. You just have to understand his style and step up to the game. Everybody who complains about him are just mad because they can't show up on just test days and get an A. Sorry, its a hands on class, and a requirement for the major.

If you are looking for an easy Gen Ed or wanting to learn ANYTHING about production, avoid this professor. If you want to go into film or television production, do not base your decision on this class -you will be disapointed.

Gregory treats students as an employer would. He expects you to take responsibility to read the book and the manuals etc.He expects common sense. He offers very realistic criticism. He is a consistent grader-just do your work to the BEST of your ability.

I'm confused on what Gregory actually DOES at SCSU-he had our class teaching the material he should've been lecturing/presenting. We are not education majors! Some good points but very inconsistant in grading-plays favorites BIG TIME. LOVES butt kissers.

Very inconsistant in his explanations AND expectations. This class was a joke-not worth the money as we didn't learn anything worthwhile. We don't get lectures or proper equipment instructions b/c he doesn't understand how to run Avids/cameras/etc. SCARY!
