I had Dr. Georgopulos as a professor 20 years ago. He was a very enthusiastic teacher with very clear presentations. I had him for Newtonian Mechanics and Modern Physics. I enjoyed his courses very much and would recommend him to engineering students as I was well prepared for Penn State main campus.

Dr G. is very strict and generally not very supportive. He is argumentative as well. He will not hesitate to offend you if he believes it will help you. Whether it does is up for debate. Students who do well will say he is a good teacher, students who don't will say he is not good.

had him in the 80's. A student asked him to explain something because she "didn't get it". About half of the class agreed. Actually told the class that they were not supposed to learn anything in the class. It was a weed-out class for the students who didn't belong in engineering. what a total piece of c**p. What a jerk!

Comment:

Had him 20 years ago for physics. Hard, but one of the best and most memorable of my professors. Sets the bar high. Had a bad start when he insulted me and chewed me out in front of the class over a misunderstanding on his part. He acknowledged his mistake, though, and actually stood up and applauded me at an award ceremony at the end of the year.

very smart man who knows what he is talking about. if you know your material, prior to entering the class, you will be fine. but if you're like me and you need a teacher to learn new material, you will struggle. He believes all students are smart, which is not the case all the time.

All he did was rush his way through the curriculum and got frustrated if we asked too many questions. If you take Math 22, I recommend Mrs. Lombard. You can ask her to do every homework problem and she won't give up until you fully understand it.

Don't take any Math course he teaches. It's extremely difficult. A lot of students have a hard time passing his math coureses. He gets offended when you miss pronounce his name. He thinks he knows it all.

I had Mr G. for both math 22 and 110. Although i am i teriible math student and he is one of the hardest teachers I have ever had, he halped me the whole way thru the course. One of the best techers i have ever had.
