Super easy elective and very nice prof! Weekly take home quizzes that come from notes/book (uses powerpoints from textbook manufacturer). Can be boring but you do really learn a lot. Only really one project that isn't time consuming or hard at all. Besides midterm and final there are no exams. Final isn't cumulative. Exams are all multiple choice.

Smartest teacher I have ever had. Tests are difficult. If you put in the work you will get the grade you deserve. Was a consultant to Greenspan so if you want to learn economics he is the man to learn it from.

Mr. Seltzer does make you work to earn your grade. Those who complain simply do not prepare for class. He DOES take the time to explain difficult concepts and will meet with you before class or after class on his own time to help. He even provides 30 minute study session before each class. He really wants students to learn!

No doubt Mr. Seltzer is a very nice man and at one point knew his subject very well. He was very unsure about topics that were not written out in pre-made PowerPoints from the book. Everyday he read these slides verbatim. He had trouble communicating the information in an understandable way. If you take this class make sure to READ on your own. G/L

Horrible Teacher! Do NOT TAKE. Had to drop. Asked for help and was unwilling to help, just kept telling me what I had to get. Doesn't respond to emails. Comes off as a cocky person. Tests too hard, I took notes in class, read the book, took notes on the book, and went to the early morning study sessions and still could not pass. THE WORST TEACHER.

Comment:
This class was so easy. I rarely read the book- he tells you almost exactly what is going to be on the weekly quizzes, then if you study the quizzes, you're great for exams. He was pretty interesting, had a lot of visual aids. The only thing that sucked was the community service project, but he doesn't grade hard, so it's easy to fudge it a little.
