Online content wasn't bad. Relatively easy if you follow the steps in the modules. He sent out an email at the beginning of the semester telling the class he would be contacting us through email frequently. That was the only email ever received. Halfway through the semester he changed the day the HW was due, and didn't tell anyone.

Comment:

Exams are similar to practice and homeworks. He's not terribly strict though he has a unique grading style. His class has been kind of hard conceptually and could explain better during class, however it is still doable. Some homework relies on the book, though I've used an older edition and got by just fine.

This professor was very rude and not helpful whatsoever. If you have a question he will not email you back of if he does he will belittle you and assume you are ignorant. Do not take this class with this professor!!!!!!

Very difficult to understand him speaking, tries to help when asked questions during class but between his understanding of the student's question and his accent when answering asking questions during class is a waste of time. Tests and quizzes are easy and are straight from the lecture, if you pay attention you will get an A.

Dr. Adhar was by far the worst professor that I have taken at UNCW. I took his online class and he didn't answer any of my questions and was no help at all. Found him to be very unprofessional. Easy subject but DO NOT take him online.

Pay attention and you'll do fine. There are programs due every week but he gives extensions if he feels like the students need them. And if you can't figure out how to write the program, he'll help you. Awesome professor, I wish I could have taken him for CSC121.

Adhar is really friendly and he's very thorough when going over the material. He speaks very softly and the class can be somewhat monotonous, but he makes it as interesting as possible. The material is pretty simple and he's very helpful.

Go to class and practice programming. The content is very mechanical/procedural. So, the more you do it the easier it is. He says the same thing 5 different ways! Seems redundant, but very effective. This is a hard class to make "fun," and it's not. But, he gives plenty of opportunities for it to sink in. I recommend him!

Dr. Adhar takes a one of the most boring classes and atleast attempt to make it interesting. He's very smart and will take as much time as needed to explain a new subject if some people are still lost. Typed homeworks are a little bit of a pain, but they aren't very difficult.

He is smart guy and into very cool research projects. You will learn something from him. However his teaching methods are outdated and he uses a mono-tone voice that will put you right to sleep
