I think he is a great teacher. He absolutely knows what he is talking about. His tests are painfully long, but he does it to benefit the class. He loves teaching and truly cares how each one of his students perform. He will bend over backwards to help you with any problems. I wish I could have taken him for every bio class I've had.

I am one of his advisees and i find him extremely helpful. Those of you who don't do not realize that he has an extremely hectic schedule as the head of the biology department. If you need something done however, he will do his best to do it. He is also very kind and cares alot about his students. Gotta love the high fives

Dr. Gustafson was my advisor. I never actually had him for class. But if he's as horrible of a teacher as he is an advisor run away! He was completely scatter brained and didn't work to help me with my goals at all. I changed my major because of him!
