She was so nice and helpful with all of the questions I had. She even offered me the textbook for the class when she found that I did not have the right text. She brought it to my job!

Took the SOC-101 online class. 5 quizzes, multiple choice and short answer. 3 written assignments, 4 pages each. 4 library assignments, pretty simple. Participation in discussions is a must. Make sure to read everything that's assigned and you'll do fine. The only downside is that she grades late and doesn't post grades until weeks later.

Very flexible teacher, Her tests are all the readings from book. Alot of reading and critical thinking. She expects you to relate each and every thing with sociology, don't know why it has so much to do with chicago. I got an A in her class. Learnt alot from her class.

one of the best teachers I've ever had. Flexible, understanding, knowledgeable, and precise.Class is easy,show up, participate, and make sure you read in your book so you dont have to make your test notecards last minute. The class is useful, taking with nyden was a dream, just stick with her lectures, and participate(she encourages it!)

Gives dirty looks, but super nice. You can bring a note card to every test which makes it so easy to get A's. Stops taking attendance about 2/3 weeks in. Everything is PowerPoint with her lecturing. Boring, but easy. I personally did not like her, but I'd take her class again for an easy A.

Very knowledgable, lots of Sociology experience. Classes are basically powerpoint dictated, with interesting discussions, and many interesting documentaries and videos. Gives an extensive study guide for all test, and allows notecards for test. Two written assignments, and drops lowest test score. Overall very interesting class with great professor

It's been a pretty good semester with her. The readings for class are interesting but she is kinda hit or miss in leading class discussions. I also wish there was more concrete info presented about sociology as a science, but overall, I recommend her over any other soc teacher at OCC.

The best soc teacher. you have about 3 three-page papers to write and very little homework. exams are always mulitple choice and she gives reviews for each of them (sometimes she points out what to focus on ;-)
