Very nice woman that will try to help you, but will also make you work for your grade. Know the study guide and pay attention to detail, or you will be in some trouble. If you put forth effort, your test grades will reflect it. Do the extra credit that she offers. Homework can be quite long, but you still need to do it.

If you're looking for an easy gen. ed., don't take her because she believes that you should get your moneys worth in a class. Her tests are difficult, and there's quite a bit of homework, but she's a very sweet, fair woman that has earned my respect. You'll learn a lot and work hard, but it's worth it.

This class was not that difficult. I never read my book until i looked ip items that were going to be on the test. If you read the power points and review everything that is on the study guide, you will be fine. Do not wait until the last minute to do the wellness project!

She is a good teacher that knows her stuff. Just be ready to work for you grade. Your test will be long and hard. She makes you remember thnigs that are not important, and dont really help you understand the big picture of health. She is an extremely hard grader, and she takes off a point per grammar mistake. So be ready to work.

She is possibly the worst professor at EKU. Its a gen ed health class yet she somehow makes it difficult. Her tests are awful and she assigns a lot of reading. Avoid her, trust me.

She was a wonderful teacher. She made my first semester a little less stressful! If you have the chance to take Mrs. Stivers do so because she is very helpful, fun, and will help you with ANY problem that you have!

She is a pleasant woman - but makes the class way harder than need be. You have to remember very insignificant details in order to pass her class. (i.e. We were informed to remember that myocardil infarction is the medical term for heart attack - because....it would make us look smart if we knew it.)

I really dont understand why she would do this it does help me learn just overworks my brain and makes me not want to listen to anything she says. If your up for a challenge, take her. She makes the class way more involved than it should be. Wayyy to much work for just a 2 hour class. ALTHOUGH...she is one of the most helpful and nicest teachers I have had. She treats all her students like her own kids. Tough, but loving. She's like super woman.

Never take this teacher. You need this class as a gen ed requirement. You don't need a headache and a pain. If you want an easy A, get a different teacher. Her kindness seems like a facade to cover for how ridiculous she is. 75 question tests, 95 question final. Not including short answer or essay.

Is this a health or english class? Most of the problems I had with this class followed the use of her being a complete grammar nazi. She definately takes the class way too serious, and the idea of this being worth 2 credit hours is completely out of question and not worth the effort. STAY CLEAR!
