Dr. Jackaway is an intelligent yet, rude professor. She implied that I was stupid by judging my grade on a paper based on my current GPA. To be clear, my grades in my eyes were well. You will learn in class but, you will learn that she is a professor that cares about her ego and not the wellness or being of her students. Take another class.

Dr. J is passionate, fair, balanced, and quite the professor. She knows what she is talking about, loves her students and wants them to succeed, and her passion is unmatched, as is her knowledge. I strongly recommend you take a class with Dr. J before graduating Fordham.

She's super-attentive and helpful. She's so committed to her students succeeding. She emphasizes that there is more than one perspective to everything, and I appreciate that. Difficult exams. Love when she brings her son to class. Participate! She wants to hear your voice.

I at the least admire her dedication to educating herself. But I'm appalled at her teaching skills relying heavily on the assigned readings. I don't think she's a free thinker, or open minded I think she's overly emotional, has a bad attitude and she's irritating. She plays the favorite card with students and is the worst teacher I've had period.

To say that Jackaway doesn't understand politics is just about the craziest thing I've ever heard in my life. Anybody who says that was simply offended by her liberal perspective. If there's anything you should learn in college-- it should be to be more open minded. If you haven't learned that-- too bad-- no refunds.

Not very good teacher. Talked straight from the book and assigned way too much reading for the class and not enough written work, which shows her inability to teach on her own and her laziness in assinging any written work that would require her going over and grading. Too much work,no one finished exams on time, she admitted she doesnt make hers

Dr. Jackaway may be Liberal but she has always been open minded and attentive to many different opinions in her classes. She is hard and challenging, which is why I suspect those giving her poor grades to have some animosity. Best teacher I had, really, at Fordham.

By far the best, most inspirational prof I've had at Fordham. Her energy about and interest in the material is obvious & adds to the enjoyment of her class. She's been the only prof I've had that made me think differently, critically & be willing to approach the world/media in a different way, recognizing my very own necessity to change.

Definitely a challenging class, but i enjoyed every minute of it. Def. has her opinion, but admits it, so it's acceptable. Exams are tough..she knows what she wants, but she gives out comprehensive review sheets that basically mirror the exam. all about class discussions. very approachable and willing to help you out.

I am a political science major and it bothers me how pretentious and political she is. Her political statements are inaccurate and she has no idea how the dynamics of politics works. She has too much influence over her students mainly because communications majors don't know politics either.Don't take her if you're an educated realist

Interesting topic, really enjoyed discussions, but when the test came and she asked us to regurgitate a 9 page study guide onto a 9 page test, half the class got c's and below. Lectures remind me of pre-k, but overall she's not bad. She means well, talks about her kid a lot, has an opinion.
