Dr. Najarian Hwas one of the smartest people I have ever known. He was also one of the most stubborn, and I loved him for both. He did not suffer fools, but always had a smile and laughed at himself as well. He especially enjoyed my immitations of him cursing. He taught me much-He was my favorite teacher- He was my dear friend.

If you hate this man, it's probably because you got a bad grade because you didn't do what he told you to do. He is very clear of what he expects and what will be on the test, he can be moody if you don't pay attention and ask dumb questions that you probably already know the answer to. He is VERY old school, but easy A if you go to class and study

I had a poor experience in this class. He failed to meet certain basic standards of professionalism such as failing to present typed or even legible exams, failing to control his temper, and stying up to date with changes in his field (especially phylogeny). I resent being forced to study phylogeny not consistent with the most recent data.

You will either love him or hate him. Personally, I love him. He knows everything there is to know about micro. If you study, you will pass. My one complaint - for multiple choice tests he offers choices A, B, C, D then will offer a choice "A and C" etc. which always confused me.

This guy gets a bad rap, but I think he's a fantastic teacher. In fact, I wish he taught A&P since he's great at explaining things in layman's terms (albeit ad nauseum.) He can be short tempered, but the dude's been teaching for 60 years, he's got to b tired of the stupid questions. If you're a serious student you'll appreciate Haig.

This prof is a parasite and USM is its host! Do not take any of his classes. Warning! If he is your only choice, then transfer to any other college. Transfer! This was the worst class I ever studied. You get what you pay for! Ask me, I'm on Facebook!

Very funny old man. the class is hard. go and PAY ATTENTION. if you do something wrong in lab that he told you how to do, he will yell. But if you go and pay attention and talk to him a little. He'll love you. He's quite hilarious actually.

Agressiive and not very professional with people he has never met, will go off on the slightest mention of something he feels is incorrect. If you just want to learn about microbiology I would take it somewhere else, the he has had complaints made by other students to the dean.. other then that I am sure he means well and is a nice person.

I had Dr. Najarian back in 2003. I just did a search on him because I was watching "Discovery Health Mystery Diagnosis" and a micro test they performed made me think of him. He was an excellent teacher... very straightforward and did not put up with whiners, which i admired. Extremely educated with extensive experience. Great teacher!

I actually liked his class....Bearing in mind that it was the hardest class I have ever taken. The material itself is not difficult, but the sheer volume is a bit much. Najarian is pretty straightforward, just gop to class, prepare to study harder than ever before and you'll do fine.

Maybe you all should have studied! The class is hard...DUH! Pro. Najarian is straight about what he expects on exams, he lectures every day...without fail, and although he seems a little rough...if you show even a little bit of maturity and desire to learn...just a little (for those 'kids' in college) he will be there for you. Stop the crying!
