10% of every assignment is "impress me." You are expected to know (or quickly learn) JavaScript, as you will never go over any code in class. Very keen on class participation, but you'll soon realize each question he asks has a specific answer he's looking for -- and yours will always be wrong.

Absolutely horrible professor. His lectures have been mostly him talking about his past career experiences, opinions, and general discussion of what makes good / bad user interfaces. He avoids showing / walking through code, but your grade is based completely off of programming assignments. Never seen a professor that does below the bare minimum.

I am sitting in his class right now. Hiam is currently going on a 75 minutes rant because he lost power in a recent storm. This is the norm, its 8 weeks into the semester and I'm not actually sure what this class is about. Its just Hiam ranting about things that bother Hiam. side note: He has an irrational fear of paper

Haim is a very smart guy. He makes sure you know it. Not a strong teacher. His lectures are boring, and he doesnt explain things well. Often goes off on tangents talking about this conference he went to about this topic or that article he read on this lecture. Talks funny, kind of annoying. Reminds some people of Bill Murray

Teaching is not his strong side but he IS very intelligent and a great guy overall. He is available on his office hours and ready to help. Assignments are fun but tough. Tests are fairly graded.

If you don't know anything about graphics before entering this class you're pretty much screwed. The exams questions are barely related to the class. He reads off powerpoint slides and does teach how to implement. Be ready to do a lot of research. The final exam was take home, but was very hard. I do not recommend taking any classes with him.

At the end of the semester, you will know what you knew at the beginning PLUS anything you taught yourself during the semester. All the professor does is assign busy work. His quizzes ONLY cover assigned homework, because that accounts for 100% of the learning that may occur during the course.

One of the high value classes I have taken at UML as I learned a lot with least amount of stress. Wouldn't hesitate to say it transformed my perception of the subject. He is easy going but provided solid direction and big picture and left us to research some details as home works. Learned a lot in the process. Can't ask for more.

Absolutely horrible professor and doesn't care that he is. Explained first day in class that half the class would not pass and then proceded to make sure that came true. No help on programs, won't go over problems in class, won't help at all. If you don't already know material, don't take this guy!!
