Very nice man but scattered in his thoughts. Study the handouts and you will do well. The final was the most difficult and the quizzes were relatively easy. The recitations counted for 1/3 of the grade and were easy but attendance was required. Don't bother taking notes.

Incredibly nice man. Class was made 1000x easier w/ the TA Kate Tierney. Instruction was sporadic and indigestible at times, but some classes were fun. Study the review sheets and you'll get an A.

He has a lot of knowledge in classical geophysics and geodynamics. A very nice man. He deserves respect. Knows a lot about engineering. A crazy fan of California. A fun guy to hang out with. He has great notes and writes great on the board. Classes are fun. You need to have an idea what he is talking about. If not you can get lost easily!

This man was so so boring....every class was the worst 2 hours of my life.....the highest final grade in the class was a 89% out of 150 students luckily, he curved it a decent amount. The fact remains he was so boring and he was never prepared which made things rather confusing.

Terrible terrible old crotchety man...needs to pay attention a little more to people who are really in need of help. Shouldnt leave everything up to the TA. Absolutely repulsive personality and person overall. If you can avoid him, do so at all costs.
