Super nice and easygoing. She assigns a few papers and 2 projects and that's all you're graded on. She takes attendance, so you can't skip a ton of classes but she's super laid back. You don't actually need the textbook, all of the poems are available online. You will need the first book of the semester though!!!

Easiest and most interesting class I have taken at SJU. All of her reading material is online. You read and write your response to the satirical lit. No rigid class structure, entirely open and encouraging discussions! Two papers, third one is optional. Loved this class and her teaching style and I wish I could've taken her for another course!

She is very blunt. Sometimes says things that are rude but doesn't realize it. She gives papers, you'll be fine as long as you do them well. She assigns reading, you don't need to buy the textbook they are all on google. shes super easy. VERY HEAVY ON ATTENDANCE. She takes attendance every class.

She is the sweetest lady. You do about 2 papers with an optional 3rd one. The midterm and final are presentations. While she does assign a textbook she will share what the readings are and you can look up pdf. There is not a lot of reading. If needed she is very helpful.

Very nice professor. Gives small assignments--barely any at all, but when she does they are usually easy and always peer edited before turned in. The textbook is used only for a few reading selections you read in class. No test, no quizzes, no midterm, no final. There are however presentations in place of the midterm and final. Easy course.

Dr. Fischthal was great. She really wants you to have a perfect business portfolio consisting of a resume, cover letter, references, and business card. If you receive a bad grade you can redo the assignment anytime. The final was a business plan presentation. Overall the class was easy, just show up and do the work!

She was nice and relatively easy it's just she tended to confuse the black girls with each other and call them by the wrong names. I don't think it is intentional obviously but it's a little annoying.

Take this class!!! It was the best decision I've made here at St. John's class wise. I even took her online course which was amazing after experiencing this one. This class felt like you were with a group of friends joking around and having a really good time. No absence issues because this class is one you look forward to going to!

She's just the sweetest! The class was very relaxing, we watched a lot of movies, read a few books, and discussed them. Three 2-page papers, and she drops the lowest one. Just a nice, chill atmosphere. I would definitely recommend watching Joy Luck Club - that movie is so powerful.

I love Fischtal. Although I had her at 7:30 in the morning I knew it would be a good way to ease into the day. if you read the sparknotes before class you'll be fine. No tests. 2 papers, a presentation, and the final is just a long essay. Easy A.

Overall, she is very sweet but does criticize you sometimes. It's extremely easy to get on her good side. If you write or speak about anything Jewish, which she is, she will give you a great grade as long as it is historically accurate. She will notice and point out in the following class if you do not attend and take off for participation readily.

Really great professor. Class feels like a book club and is based on class discussions on what you have read. The class is very relaxing. No final test, only 2 essays, one presentation (5mins) and one final paper. Easy if you attend class. Very nice teacher.

Best Professor ever. She is laid back, caring, friendly and sweet. She is always there for her students. Bonus point about her class is you get chocolates and other candies in her class while working :P Mid term & finals are easy.. if you need help with anything she is always ready to answer your questions. I`ll give her 10/10. Take her!!

She was great. A little spacey at times it seemed. But an easy easy class. A powerpoint, a short paper and then a longer paper. Lots of readings to do but no one did them and she didnt seem to care. just dont plagiarize your work and youll get an A
