I LOVE Hans Minnich. He is very soft spoken, but cares a lot about the stars and will give you really interesting facts if you listen. He's definitely a tough grader but gives you the answers a lot of the time so make sure you listen well. He has a very dry sense of humor.

LOVE this man. Hans was the lab conductor for my class, so unfortunately, I had no class time with Hans but I wish I did. I learned more from two minutes of his labs than I did from all of the lectures I went to. Wish he was my professor, never have met someone more passionate about the stars.

nice guy but too passionate & class is too detailed & hard for students only in it to fulfill a core requirement. extremely soft-spoken so boring, long lectures are even harder to pay attention to. homework & tests are very hard, lots of application questions and math physics type problems involved. 3 labs required too. did not enjoy and struggled

Horrible professor. He does not explain any of the math equations that are on the tests well, is unclear about the material in general, and will make errors grading tests. Very unclear, I had to teach myself the material outside of class to understand it. Go over the power points & study guides. If you have to take him, DO NOT take his 8:30.

Not terrible. Have your friend sign you in, no point in going to class. Just study the review sheet and do the homeworks--all straight out the book. If you do find yourself in class, just enjoy Hans being Hans. Coughing all over the place, looking like he just crawled out of a dumpster, and being an absolute space case. Hilarious.

Prof. Minnich is an energetic and very informative professor. He is a funny teacher, and his tests are all very fair. He gives unlimited extra credit labs, and by studying all the quizzes in the book you will be able to excel in his class. He gives four tests total, and his labs are very interesting. I strongly recommend him as a professor!

This was such an easy class, and I recommend taking him. If you study what is on the study guide he gives you, the tests are super easy. It is easy to get extra credit through labs, which require little work. I got an A in the class, and I probably did not deserve that grade.

Yeah he's boring but the class is an easy good grade and overall he's a nice guy. He almost gives you the tests in advance and labs count for a ton of extra credit. You get homework ever other weekend and its not hard, he really just looks and sees if you did it. I'd recommend cause its easy.

the class itself is incredibly boring, but if you actually put forth effort (which I really did not) then you will get an A. it all really depends on you

The easiest class you'll take at Fordham. Just do the homework assignments, go to a few labs, and study a tiny bit for the four tests to get an A. Lectures can be boring and hard to stay awake during, but it's worth it to fill the Physical Science core

Hans is awesome! You never need to go to class as long as you do the homework, which takes a while but helps you learn the material. The labs are easy too; he basically gives you all the answers. 4 tests, no midterm or final. Only downside: He coughs all the time, is hard to contact outside of class, and is technologically incompetent.

Hans is nothing like this webstie made him out to be. His class is simple, you go, he lectures, you do one homework assigment per chapter, which he grades for completion and Tests are mutiple choice from the book. Tons of oppurtunity for extra credit. Fun class and you learn alot too!

Overall the class is pretty easy. Everyone says he's the worst but he's not bad AT ALL. Of all the science choices, this is by far the best. Attendance is not mandatory and nor is class participation. Homework does take a long time but it's straightforward and right out of the test book. 5 tests and over 15 opportunities for extra credit. Take it!

While this class should be easy, it does require an ample amount of time for homework assignments (if you choose to do them) and studying for the tests. Even after studying his review sheets and doing the quick quizzes, some questions on the tests can still be tricky. However, DO THE EXTRA CREDIT, it will make up for any poor test grades!

He's not that bad. Yeah, the class is boring and you might fall asleep but attendance isn't mandatory. He gives a review sheet for all the tests and ample extra credit (which is why I got an A). Best science choice.

I came into this class dreading it because of the terrible things I had heard. It's not particularly interesting, he isn't the nicest, friendliest, or most helpful guy, but the midterm and final honestly aren't that bad if you put in the work. Do the homeworks, complete in some extra credit work and labs, and study and you'll be fine. Not so bad

HANS! Hes that nice, friendly, old astronomy teacher that everyone knows at Fordham, if you took his class. Its somewhat boring, but interesting if you like the stars. Test = EZ if you study, just do the HW if you want a good grade (literally) lots of extra credit opportunities if you take field trips. Fun class, Ez A, only cool kids take it

The class itself isn't hard to pass, but he is an awful professor. No interest in the students, impossible to hear in the back row, plays movies to kill classes he hasn't prepared for. Avoid this man.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS! his class was terrible! he comes in and talks in a monotone voice, you can hardly hear him and you have no clue what he is teaching! he's no help what-so-ever (in or out of class) his tests are hard and you have to do three labs most of which are off campus with practically no way to get there! it's ridiculous!!
