He lectures the entire time from a PPT. He seems intimidating but he's a kind, funny guy. A girl fell asleep in class and was snoring loudly, and he was super chill about it! For online quizzes TAKE THE PRACTICE QUIZ FIRST and TAKE SCREENSHOTS OF THE ANSWERS! The questions are the same on the graded quiz! You get notes for exams. EC on every test!

Professor Isakson is a jolly old guy the only problem is that he reads directly off of his slides in his lectures. This makes it really hard to stay entertained as the student. His quizzes are online and very easy while his tests are somewhat more difficult but still manageable. He counts participation but only if you answer correctly.

Isaakson is an average professor. He teaches right out of the book. His class is incredibly lecture heavy, and seems to drag on. Occasionally goes off topic for a while.

Dr. Hans has every good lectures. They can drag on but he is awesome at explaining things. There are quizzes every week which are online and are fairly easy, he drops your two lowest scores. There are three exams that you get to use cheat sheets on. He makes economics very understandable.

Lectures can become long and boring but he does try to make it interesting by using examples that students can relate to. Read the book first then go the the lecture following it, the class will be SO much easier! All quizzes have a pretest that go with it and they are almost identical! Tests are difficult but you can have 1 sheet of notes w/ it.

Took Econ. with another professor and dropped the course to switch to Isakson. He was a great professor, he sometimes repeats himself a lot - but that helps with this subject. I definitely recommend him for this class!

He deserves a much better grade! He goes through material slowly and assigns online quizzes that you need to take and readings. You don't have to go through the readings because he goes over them in class so just take the online quizzes and study for the exams and you'll be fine. He's a really sweet guy and lets you use a page a notes on exams!

Teaches right out of a book. His teaching style is very old school. Uses weird examples. Test and exams are extremely confusing. Don't expect him to give you the benefit of the doubt

He is a good professor and seems passionate about what he is doing. His lectures are very long. He assigns powerpoint slides to print off and then reads directly from them. Which is most frustrating because he takes participation points. He is very nice guy and will help you if you need it. You also get cheat sheets on exams. Ample amount of EC.

Dr. Isaakson is a decent professor. He clearly has a passion for economics, but his lectures can be very long and boring. You have to answer questions when the class is working on problems in order to receive participation. He will keep track of who talks and whether your answer is correct. I wouldn't take a class with him again.

Hans is a great guy, talks slow but is very knowledgeable. Probably the easiest class I have taken at UNI, I think I got 120% on every quiz which made up for the fact that I didn't study for the tests, still got a B+

Pretty boring professor. Only went on the quiz days and got over almost every quiz. The final test was difficult but I found the rest of the class very easy. Print out the powerpoint slides, review them, and pay attention when he goes over the homework before the quiz. If you do this you will get a good grade.

If you show up to class and study hard, you'll do fine. You get a page of notes on the first two exams and the front and back of a page for the cumulative final exam. The final is about a 1/3 of your grade so make sure you prepare well. Class structure: lecture/assignment/quiz on each chapter, then test. You never use the workbook either!

Good teacher. He's kind of boring in his lectures but get let out early a lot. Quiz each week and homework but both pretty easy. Knows his stuff but can talk above your head. Class is overall easy though and you don't have to read the book. Workbook is unnecessary also. Recommended for an easy A.

Workbook is unnecessary (you never use it in class or hand anything in from it). Class is boring. Professor explains things poorly most of the time. He once gave misinformation just prior to an exam in a review session. Easy class though. He basically tells you the quiz questions. As long as you show up and do the work, you'll get an A.
